Would You Wear… Lace-up Oxford Pumps?

None of us are strangers to the flat oxfords trend, but this spring the popular oxford has gotten higher! Lace-up oxford heels are a dainty take on this trendy shoe style.

In my opinion, this style of oxford is the perfect summer statement shoe. Since these shoes are meant to be seen, they definitely need to be shown off with a dress or skirt. Personally, I think leggings or jeans would underwhelm the cuteness of this shoe style.

The celeb styles seen above show us how lace-up oxford heels can make any casual look more sophisticated. But the look below is more demure, in keeping with the shoe style – it could easily be the perfect meet-the-parents outfit!

Yes! Although the flat ones were cute, they sermed much harder to pull off. These are adorable, and despite the heels, more wearable for me.

    Pass- don’t do heels
I feel as if wearing leggings or jeans or shorts would give it a more casual/unique look. Don’t see anything wrong with that. With leggings you could wear pastel colored leggings or skinnys
    Highwaisted shorts
    Possibly even flare jeans

I love my oxford pumps! I got them at Payless for $12 and they’re so comfy and I always feel extra-confident wearing them :) but I don’t like these cut-out ones so much :/

I love the outfit, but I’m not sold on the shoes. To me, they are almost too lady like. Just not my style I guess.

I have a pair of lace up oxford heels that are my favorites. They work well with jeans and dresses, give a ladylike yet a professional feel to an outfit. And since they cover most of your feet, there’s a lot more support and comfort than a regular old pair of pumps.

They are super cute! But I’m so insecure about my height that I hardly ever wear heels.. I feel so giant

I’ve always loved these, but somehow I’ve never owned a pair. Either it’s not my style or hmmm….. I’m just too lazy to try it ;)

mine don’t have cuts outs or peep toes like these but I got a black pair at Payless a few months back and love them! Definitely a great trend!

I’m not a heel person. I’m short but I have terrible foot pain all the time and heels are just not my style anyway- I like wedges better. I have a pair of flat oxfords though.

I really like these shoes, but I just don’t think they go with my style. I’m sure I could incorporate them into a few of my outfits but it just wouldn’t be worth the money for me! I’ll just oggle them on other people for now :)

I own five or six pairs, most of them several years old and still going strong – some cutout and peep toe, some more mary-jane -ike with a large center cutout that leaves a sort of “strap,” but my very favorite pair – actually, they are my favorite shoes of all time, period, ever!! – are grey calfskin, closed toe with wingtip, full lace front (like a flat oxford), and mid-height heel. They are very Edwardian in feel, and they are the most comfortable and serviceable shoes I have ever owned. The grey goes with everything, they can be dressed up or down, they actually do look quite cute peeping from under my skinny jeans, and because they cover, tie around, and support my whole foot, I never have pain or pressure points from them. In short:

    Heeled oxfords rule!
They are my signature shoe for a reason.
