Would You Wear… A Pussy Bow Blouse?
If you’re looking for a chic and versatile way to doll up your wardrobe this fall, try a pussy bow blouse. These classic tops are experiencing a huge revival in the fashion world this season. Bloggers have been rocking them like crazy, and it’s tough to walk around a mall without seeing one! This dainty style is certain to make even the edgiest leather leggings look feminine.
Despite these blouses being girlie in every way, they’re also incredibly wearable. Throw one on with a skirt, tuck one into some shorts, or rock one with wide-leg jeans. The color and style options are endless, so you can easily find one that fits your personal vibe. For you girls constantly struggling to stay up with the trends in a professional work environment, the best part is that as long as it’s not sheer, a pussy bow blouse is 100% work-appropriate!
Try wide-leg jeans with a bow blouse for a sassy shopping outfit…

I think these are super cute. I have been seeing them worn by a lot of bloggers I follow. Please provide more outfit ideas with them!

I am obsessed with these shirts! I stocked up with about 4 before the school year, and they are so comfortable, yet totally chic. I love the look with jeans but would love a follow up post showing these shirts with skirts!
Ashley
These are so pretty! I don’t wear pants, but if I could find a dress like this, I’d definitely grab it:)
Alycia
LOVING this!! They’re so cute && girlie!! I’m gonna have to find me one of those ASAP. :-)
Stephanie
I absolutely love these blouses! I’ve found many at thrift stores, so if you’d like to try the trend but don’t want to spend a lot of money, I’d definitely suggest looking there!
Sally
Haha, I didn’t know they were called “pussy bow” blouses! Hilarious!
All joking aside, I think these are cute. They remind me of Emma from Glee. :)
The Redhead
Absolutely! I love these! They work with almost everything in my closet: work trousers, pencil skirts, jeans, cardigans, vests, you name it.
Hannah
Soo cute, I love these type of tops :]
Rachel
Just bought one last week!

I was totally rocking one of these about two years ago haha! It’s still my favourite shirt- so chic and classy :)

Oh I love the look of a pussy bow blouse — Kourtney Kardashian pulls them off particularly well. It’s feminine, but in a playful way and I’ve been looking for the perfect one for a while now. Great post. :)

Aaaah I have been looking EVERYWHERE online and in stores for something like this! I LOVE these!! They are such a cute, classic look. If anyone knows of where I can find a nice plain, white one, or at least a classic, simple-looking tie-neck blouse (sorry, for some reason I just can’t bring myself to call them a pussy bow blouse… haha!!) please let me know! Thanks for doing the post on these, great job!!

Naara
Such an ugly name hehe but they are oh so beautiful!

I love these shirts they are so cute and i love anything with a bow. my only fear is that im a pretty busty girl and i feel like they would accentuate it and be kinda over the top yanno? does anyone else feel that way?
jennifermc
yes, absolutely! i bought a lilac and pink polka dotted top from urban like that and it hs buttons on the back. the feeling of it is really retro and i get tons of compliments on it. i might even wear it tomorrow… :D
Elle
Love these!! I got mine from H&M for $9.95 and I have another from Topshop!
Nicki
A plain white one is great for an interview with a pencil skirt or trousers — still professional and conservative (as long as the neckline is high enough), but with a touch of fashion!
Kellan
YES! I love them. i stole one from my grandmother’s closet and it’s one of my favorite shirts
Judy
So cute! Been meaning to get one of these for ages… Didn’t know they were called that though!
Natasha
Lizzy – I am a chesty girl too. I haven’t tried these on, but even though I think they look super cute on other shapes, I’m guessing that if the ends of the ribbon are long and dangle in the air (you know what I mean…?) it probably will not help your silhouette. :( You could tuck the ends away somewhere, and that might help.
Jess
Yes i would defiantly wear this! I have been looking for the perfect one for a while now and I am even more determined to find it now. Love this :)
Pixie
FOR BIG CHESTED GIRLS who want to wear it, I’d suggest checking out photographs of Joan from Mad Men and photos of ladies from the fifties in general as both big chests and pussy bow tops were fashionable back then.
I’d suggest wearing it with a high waisted skirt- either pencil or structured, poofy skirts with a defined waist.

This was fashionable in the 80′s too. It was just called the floppy bow blouse then by a lot of people. I just took the one my mom has out of her closet. It’s cute I can’t wait to wear it to work.
tom
Seriously, how do you do this!
Seriously great ideas everyday!
Seriously sad every girl in college or not who doesn’t ready this.
Cheers, TC
Camila
I love how it looks!! It is very Blair Waldorf
Tabi
I would! I would! I need one now.
Sharon
Yes I totally would :)
I just bought one from H&M few days ago, and I also think it’d be perfect for either a school day or at a career fair.
I’d love to find one with polka dots too. super adorable. :)
Kristina
Love love love! I definitely need one…
Andrea
Yes, yes, yes. Totally~!

A few months ago, I was searching EVERYWHERE for bow blouses like these and I was not having any luck until last month. I found the perfect ones at Kohl’s. They are from the brand Elle and come in two different colors, a purple shade and an olive shade in either long sleeve or sleeveless. I picked up both colors in the sleeveless style. They were cheap too! They were on sale for $24 and I had a 30% coupon as well so check out Kohl’s if you don’t want to spend a ton. I am still on the hunt for a white one, a black one, and a cute print one. I know old navy has a few but they have an elastic bottom, which I am not a fan of. If anyone knows any places that have these, please post!
