Would You Wear… a Trendy Baseball Cap?

There’s no doubt about it: the baseball cap is a classic look. It’s the perfect solution for a bad hair day, playing sports, dog walking, or pulling a ponytail through while running errands. However, this season, the baseball cap has traded up its ragged look for something more runway-friendly.

Baseball caps are beginning to look increasingly fashion-forward¬†these days, and it’s a look we are¬†totally excited about.

The varieties of chic baseball caps are endless. Some hats are punctured with studs and washers, some have strips of leather, and the more feminine styles have floral prints. There’s definitely a trendy style out there for everyone, but don’t completely replace your favorite Cubs cap yet – this trend could definitely be of the “short-lived fad” variety.

Regardless of the trend’s staying power, though, you might want to grab a cheap style to throw on during your next bad hair day. Check out a few of our fave fashionable picks below:

Although I like the bottom three, it’s not really my style.

I work in Charlotte Russe… I picked up this amazing denim basketball cap that I get compliments on every time I wear it. It was only $8.99, but it has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe especially sense I traditionally wear Ralph Lauren canvas baseball caps… I think trendy baseball caps are hear to say.

This sorta got me thinking. Do you think it’s still unacceptable to wear a hat or cap indoors? Say in a mall for example?

Would wear a trendy baseball cap for sure but not with a team. Takes away from the look stripping it from potential “chicness”.

    This is a BIG no-no in Europe…
Only people who wear sports clothes all the time or tourists wear baseball caps around here.
    Or middle aged men…

    Not gonna happen :)

Love this article! I’ve been wearing Baseball Caps before they were a “trend”, though. I’ve got 5 in my collection of hats and caps. I can’t wait to get more! I love the idea of a leather one, and a dark pink one has been on my list for quite sometime! Ball caps rock!
