Fashion inspiration: Disney's Alice in Wonderland Mad Tea Party

Of all the wonderfully detailed scenes from the classic Disney film, Alice In Wonderland, the Mad Tea Party scene has always been the one that I remembered most. It may be because both Disneyland and Walt Disney World feature rides inspired by the spinning tea cups! In any case, the tea party is simply fun to watch, and definitely one of my favorite parts of the animated film.

From the characters, to the storyline, to the setting itself, the tea party from Alice In Wonderland is a great source of fun fashion inspiration! Whether you’re celebrating your unbirthday or throwing a party, you can add a little “mad”ness to your own wardrobe. Below, I’ve created several looks inspired by the scene in the movie:

Time for Tea!

You’re sure to make a statement at tea in this outfit! Wear a sky blue one-shoulder dress and belt it with a neon yellow skinny belt for added flair. Slip on a pair of lavender pumps, wear heart and floral stud earrings, and add a polka dot headband to complete the cute, trendy look!

A Very Merry Unbirthday

Outfit inspired by the Mad Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland: Hot pink skirt, bow blouse, platform heels, flower accessories
Blouse, Skirt, Heels, Necklace, Earrings, Flower Clip

If it’s your unbirthday (or just Friday), celebrate in style! Tuck a cream-colored bow blouse into a bold neon pink pleated skirt for a fun look. Wear printed platform sandals in a neutral color to contrast with the bright hue of the skirt. For accessories, add a peach flower hair clip, lavender flower stud earrings, and a teacup charm necklace. May all your unbirthday wishes come true!

Tea for the Queen

Outfit inspired by the Mad Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland: Red and white polka dot tank, light coral shorts, bow heels, lace jacket, fascinator
Top, Shorts, Jacket, Heels, Fascinator, Ring, Earrings

You may not be the Queen of Hearts, but you can most definitely dress the part for tea time! It’s okay, we won’t tell the Hatter you’re on her side. Pair a polka dot peplum blouse with some light pink denim shorts. Bow-strap heels and a lace moto jacket help to dress the outfit up a bit. Wear a cute teacup ring and heart stud earrings for accessories, and if you dare, add a feather-top fascinator to complete the ensemble! Now, don’t be late!

What do you think?

Are you inspired by Alice In Wonderland? Would you wear any of the looks above? Which outfit was your favorite? Would you like to see more posts like this in the future? Let me know in the comments!

The second one is totally adorable and could totally be dressed up for interviews or made wintery with cute colorful knit stockings.
