Emily's classy shift dress and over-the-knee boots caught my eye. Monochromatic, clean, and sporty lines make this summer look ultra-chic. With temperatures quickly rising, seeing this outfit reminds me to not get stuck in a casual t-shirt and denim shorts rut.

Let's Talk Fashion

Who or what inspires your style? "Kendall Jenner if I’m feeling my minimalist vibes. I work with lingerie, so wearing lingerie as outerwear if I’m feeling sexy and if I want a sporty look [for] my boyfriend."

How would you describe your sense of style? "Definitely on the minimal side. I like a clean, simple, and kind of monochromatic look."

Why did you choose this outfit? "It’s my go-to for looking nice but casual.”

What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? "You’re only going to look good in what you feel good in. What’s right for one person might not be right for you. You need to stay true to yourself to be comfortable and confident in what you wear."

What are your favorite trends right now? "Definitely lingerie as outerwear. I love women reclaiming their sexuality instead of hiding it and I think that’s a huge reflection of it. I also love a t-shirt [or shift] dress with boots. It’s lazy and sexy all in one.”

What do you do for fun - do you have any unique hobbies or interests? "If it’s the summer, I love to kayak and hike. During the year, most of my fun is writing, drawing, and just trying to stay creative."

If you could raid anyone's closet who would it be? "Kendall Jenner’s closet. I think she has the best mix of classy, fun, and minimal [clothes]. I just kind of love everything she wears.”
