Summer is almost here and we all know what that means – it’s time to go shopping for cute swimwear if you haven’t started already! I’ve scoured the top swimsuits retailers and found the best of the best for any price range and budget. From bikinis to one-pieces, here is your ultimate guide to the top five hottest must-have bathing suit trends for summer ‘07.
- Bold Prints
One of Spring 2007’s hottest trends was big, bold, printed patterns on absolutely everything. This 70’s-inspired trend is going to continue for Summer 2007 in the form of swimwear. Go for paisley prints, plaid, and the brightest colors you can handle to rock this trend.

Wow. I never thought that bathing suits have different trends! Hahaha..
I am a male so I dont really care what women wear especiall on the beach.
Come to think about it, those crocheted type of bathing suits are becoming a trend in my country (the philippines). Well, it really does look good.
Nice post. And I really like the pictures ^_^
If you have time, why don’t you drop by my post:

I am speechless….Pretty Hot. But really interesting to know these trends…I am geting married soon..so Thanks for the tip
Wendy Piersall
After three kids I can only dream about having a bikini tummy again! ;)
Sherri Caldwell - The Rebel Housewife
Great post, helpful info, even for fashion-challenged older women (well, not TOO old, just older…)! Really great presentation on your blog with the catalog, well done! Live, Love & Laugh, Sherri
Matt Ferris
You have more skin on your blog than my friend, Max (and he’s a pervert). What I would really like to know is how a bikini can fetch more than $100 when there is less to it than any other oufit. If this is a trend, I’ll sell you my topless bikini for $200 ;)
Nancy
I love that plaid bandeau bikini! Thanks for linking to it — you may have just saved me a whole bunch of bikini-shopping time. :)

Fashion trail – Thanks so much!
Karlo – Yeah, you kind of need to be female to understand bikini fashion… thanks for trying to understand it though! haha
Ashish – Glad you liked the post.
Wendy – Aw, that’s what one-pieces are for! Not everyone in college has the bikini stomach anyway, thats for sure!
Sherri – Thank you so much! I’ve seen your blog before and it’s so nice that those comments came from you. :)
Matt – It’s the same as what you’d see on the beach!! I don’t think its perverted to show bikinis, at least not when there are mostly female readers here! And the bikinis can be more than $100 dollars because they are either high quality material, made by a designer, or both. You can keep your topless bikini though. really.
Nancy – Glad you like it! The plaid bandeau is one of my favorites too! :)
Jennifer
Where is the style that looks like shorts on your list? That is a huge trend….I never saw that style before recently. Do guys not like them??
Good post.
CollegeFashion.Net
Jennifer – There definitely isn’t any hating of boy-short bikinis going on here! Hipster styled swimsuits can be very flattering on a lot of people. They just aren’t as big of a trend this season as they have been in the past, and so they didn’t make it onto the top 5 list.

Hi
Nice top 5
I just don’t think I would look like that if I wore one.
Thanks anyway
Tom
dexie
i almost bought a crocket one but the color was too dull so i put it back. i’m loving the bold prints though.
Loopy
Where are the boobs! …jezus… flat as a bloody ironingboard! YUK!
(love the redhead though “Shoshanna Crochet” ..she’s HOT HOT HOOOOOOOT)
CollegeFashion.Net
Tom – It’s okay, that’s what the one pieces are for! ha ha
Dexie – Aw! Yeah I like the crochet ones that have a little extra detail as well. Bright colors or little accents can make a huge difference.
Loopy – Well, most of the bikinis are on professional models, and we all know that most models are super-skinny. Glad you liked the, um, post.
Chelich
Personally, I like the polka-dotted swimsuits the best – for one, polka dots are always cute and they’re currently on everything, and two, they kinda make the swimsuit wearer look younger!
Monica
I have a combination of a curvy/ athletic /hourglass body type. Do you think the monokini would be a good bathing suit choice for my body type ?
