Warm weather is here so it’s time to slip out of your cold weather boots and into some sandals! Lucky for us, there are so many different summer 2019 sandals to choose from. The only question we’ll be left with this summer is “where do I put all of these?!”
Let’s take a look!
Strappy
From left to right: Black Strappy Sandals – Forever 21, Nude Strappy Sandals – Forever 21, Red Twist Sandals – Forever 21, Snakeskin Sandals – Lulus, Pom Pom Sandals – Asos, Rainbow Strappy Sandals – Lulus
Strappy sandals can be found in a wide variety of designs, from many straps to “barely there.” They are really versatile and can be worn flat or heeled.
Strappy and “barely-there” sandals take us back to the early 2000s — in the best way!
Clear
From left to right: Clear Studded Sandals – Lulus, Nude Ankle Wrap Heels – Asos, White Strap Back Sandals – Forever 21, Clear Strap Heeled Sandals – Asos, Clear Crystal Cross Strap Mules – Asos, Clear Heeled Sandals – Asos
The clear sandal trend is so fun! These sandals are often paired with jewels or studs like on some of these examples.
A completely clear strapped sandal can truly be worn with anything, so this upcoming summer, it should be a staple! Give one of these a try.
Sporty/Chunky
From left to right: Iridescent Gladiator Sandals – Target, Silver Platform Sandals – Asos, Toe Loop Sporty Sandals – Asos, Teva Universal Sandals – Urban Outfitters, Fila Disruptor Sandals – Urban Outfitters, Chunky Flat Sandals – Asos
During winter, we were all about chunky and hiker boots, now we are moving on to chunky sandals!
I am loving the chunky/sporty sandal trend. These are definitely statement shoes! They can be found with iridescent straps, neon, multi-colored elements, or plain monochrome for a bolder look.
Also as a bonus, these sandals are usually super comfortable! So if you buy a pair, you might just get hooked on this trend.
Espadrille Flats
From left to right: Striped Platform Sandals – Lulus, Suede Flatform Sandals – Asos, Pink Espadrille Sandals – Lulus, Leopard Espadrille Platforms – Lulus, Blue Espadrille Sandals – Asos, Black Gladiator Espadrilles – Lulus
Espadrille flats made a big intro last year and they are sticking around! If you don’t have a pair by now, it’s time to get yourself one. These sandals are really classy and versatile; they can be worn with shorts or dresses.
Don’t be afraid to try a platform, either! Platform espadrilles are much easier to walk in than regular heels and can make for a more casual look.
Slides
From left to right: Black Greece Sandals – Target, Multi-Colored Strappy Slides – Target, Pink-Two Band Slides – Target, Red Suede Slides – Target, Leopard Criss Cross Slides – Forever 21, Knotted Striped Slides – Forever 21
The slide… does it get any easier than this?! Just because these are “throw on” shoes doesn’t mean that they have to look like it.
With all the different prints and designs out there, we can find a slide sandal for every event. Slides are lightweight, easy, and quite honestly a super fun shoe to wear.
I want to hear from you!
