Everyone who makes New Year's resolutions knows they can be hard to keep. It's challenging to keep up your motivation and commitment for a month, much less a whole year. So what's one trick to keeping yourself inspired? Making sure you have the right outfit! As they say, you have to dress for success - so make sure you're prepared, whatever your resolution.
Need some help getting started? Here are three ensembles inspired by common New Year's resolutions:
Resolution: Get Fit
I don't know about you, but I'm always more motivated to exercise when I have stylish and comfortable workout wear hanging in my closet. Try spicing up your activewear with heathered gray leggings, a motivational tank, and a colorful sports bra. If it's cold, wear a bright pink jacket over top, and don't forget an athletic headband and colorful running shoes to complete the look.
It's important to dress comfortably and practically whenever you're doing community service, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to wear your old paint-splattered sweats. For a cute and casual look, try cargo pants, a gray tee, and a blue hoodie, along with your comfiest pair of sneakers. Don't forget to add a little fun to the ensemble with a printed backpack and peace sign earrings.
Are you planning to do more jetsetting in 2015? If so, try this chic - yet comfy! - travel look. Start with dark wash jeggings and a casual burgundy top for a polished base, then add a draped camel cardigan for warmth. A pair of comfortable, foldable leopard flats are the perfect pair of shoes for travel (easy to slip on and off at security!), while a soft cream-colored scarf makes an excellent in-flight blanket.
Don't forget a swipe of tinted lip balm for a natural beauty look. And if you're looking for the perfect carry-on luggage, my personal favorite choice is a hardsided rolling suitcase, like this one.
