Great list! But I wouldn’t call Forever21 “the inventor of the designer knockoff”. That would probably be Zara which was founded 9 years earlier than Forever21 with the purpose of creating cheaper clothes based on higher-end designs. Too bad Zara’s prices are much, much higher than Forever21…

You could also add “outlet malls” to your list for those of us lucky enough to have one close. The prices at outlets are ridiculously low! I recently got a $400+ Coach purse for only $95!

If you’re lucky enough to have them near you, Nordstroms Rack and Loehmanns have GREAT deals, on all designers. It’s similar to a TJMaxx, except almost all the designers are higher end, from romeo and juliet to juicy to theory & helmut lang, sometimes prices can be even lower than at TJ Maxx, and the stores are extremely organized so you don’t feel like cattle fighting for a good find. I live near New Jersey where there is no sales tax so sometimes I’ll drive almost an hour for these stores.

My top 10 places to shop are Forever 21, Wet Seal, H &M, Nordstrom Rack, Charlotte Russe, Target, Old Navy, Macy’s, Claire’s for nail polish and accessories, and some boutiques.

I’ll vote for H&M. If you are in Europe then its a great choice. Wish they had stores in US. There are many online stores that have some nice fashion stuff. One of my favorites is http://www.asraistyle.com

Did you know Charlotte Russe gives you a 10% discount with student ID? I was getting my money out an the cashier saw my ID an was like “Oh you’re a college student? We give a discount for that”
