April showers bring May flowers, so they say. If you've been trying to dodge the rain while maintaining a stylish wardrobe, why not try spring's must-have jacket, an anorak?

You may be wondering... How is that a hot new trend? I won't argue that anoraks haven't been around forever - but never before have they been the ultra-trendy, must-have item of spring. With so many designers creating their own styles, it's tough to ignore this trend.

Don't feel bad if you don't know the difference between a parka and an anorak. After reading about them in several magazines and blogs, I asked google the same question. Traditionally, anoraks have hoods, are shorter, and have drawstrings around the waist, while parkas are longer and less fitted (and the winter versions often contain down). Both styles are waterproof and perfect for casual spring wear.
