With Memorial Day fast-approaching, we have one thing on our mind: summer! And when it comes to a seasonally-appropriate mani, look no further than OPI’s latest nail polish collection.
California Dreaming includes 12 brand new shades inspired by a road trip up the West Coast. Between the bold reds, punchy pinks and unique neutrals, we were super-inspired by these polishes. In fact, we’ve created three summer-ready looks based on some of our fave colors. Check ’em out below:
1. Sweet Carmel Sunday
Product Info: Romper- Nordstrom, Sunglasses- Zero UV, Shoes- Nordstrom Rack, Ring Set- Accessorize, Nail Polish- OPI
A low-key weekend calls for a breezy look like this. Slip into a chic embroidered romper and a pair of fun yet comfy d’orsay flats. Mirrored sunglasses up the cool factor, while a sweet ring set shows off your gorgeous gold manicure.
2. Barking Up the Wrong Sequoia
Product Info: Dress- LOFT, Shoes- Esprit, Bag- Kohl’s, Bracelet- Lord & Taylor, Nail Polish- OPI
A little bold, a bit boho — this printed dress seems like it was made for the perfectly peachy “Barking Up the Wrong Sequoia.”
Ground the outfit with cognac-hued heeled sandals, then pull from the colors of the dress for the rest of these accessories. In this case, we opted for a vintage-look mustard yellow crossbody bag and a turquoise bracelet.
3. To the Mouse House We Go!
Product Info: Top- Dorothy Perkins, Shorts- J. Crew Factory, Shoes- Forever 21, Earrings- Betsey Johnson, Nail Polish- OPI
Obviously, we had to do some Disneybounding for this shade. While Minnie Mouse or Snow White would be cute options, we decided to go for a Little Mermaid-inspired outfit. After all, OPI’s crimson polish is also reminiscent of Ariel’s luscious locks (and Sebastian, too!).
Start with a pastel off-the-shoulder top paired with emerald green shorts. Choose a pair of colorful pom-pom sandals, then continue the whimsical vibe with under-the-sea-themed mismatched earrings.
