Fashion Inspiration: LOFT’s January 2017 Lookbook

Spring may still be a few months away, but that doesn’t mean you can’t rock feminine florals right now.

When the weather is cold and dreary, a cheerful outfit can definitely help boost your mood. That’s why I was so happy to come across LOFT’s January “Monthly Edit” lookbook — every single outfit features a gorgeous floral print styled in a fun and fresh way.

If you need a little outfit inspiration to tide you over ’til spring, check out the looks below:

Look #1: Printed Dress + Matching Tights

A floral dress is a staple piece you can wear year-round, but once winter hits, you’ve gotta add layers. The next time you pull out your flower-adorned frock, try pairing it with matching tights and chunky boots for a polished, no-fuss look.

For a similar outfit, choose a long-sleeved floral dress, then pull on a pair of matching navy blue tights. Wedge booties add a nice boost of height, while a kelly green purse provides a contrasting pop of color. Lastly, echo the print of the dress with these botanical drop earrings.

Product Info: Dress – Lulus, Tights – ModCloth, Shoes – Chinese Laundry, Bag – ALDO, Earrings – Vera Bradley

Look #2: Embroidered Sweater + A-line Skirt

Embroidery may seem a little old school, but this technique has had a recent resurgence in the fashion world. This cozy sweater looks modern and fresh when paired with a flouncy skirt in a bright hue.

Snag this look for yourself with a budget-friendly embroidered sweatshirt. Paired with a red skirt that matches the embroidery, as well as pointy-toe loafers, you’ll have a comfy-cute outfit that’s fit for a day on campus. Store your essentials in a sleek backpack with faux-fur detailing, then pile on a few rings to finish things off.

Product Info: Top – Forever 21, Skirt – Boohoo, Shoes – Kohl’s, Bag – Windsor, Rings – Forever 21

Look #3: Graphic Skirt + White Sweater

Eye-catching graphic prints have been everywhere lately, and we love the bold yet feminine vibe of the skirt pictured above. LOFT wisely paired it with a neutral top and let it take center stage.

An attention-grabbing skirt is the perfect choice for a night out, so that’s how we styled the inspired look below. Tuck a polished white sweater into this realistic rose graphic skirt, then slip on your fanciest pumps. A statement necklace adds a hint of sparkle, while this pretty lip color mimics the one the LOFT model is wearing.

Product Info: Top – H&M, Skirt – Forever 21, Shoes – Target, Necklace – Old Navy, Lip Color – Lime Crime “Shroom”
