It’s Mid-December which means one thing: holiday parties!

Although a planner packed with festivities and friends can be wonderful, there’s also one tricky problem. You’ll need a lot of party outfits!

This season is all about having fun with your aesthetic. If there’s one style tip we stand by during the holiday season, it’s stand out. Style the sparkle, wear the bold red lip, and rock those reindeer earrings!

Oh, and you can say goodbye to anyone who thinks that there are not fun ways to be both festive and stylish this season. You do not need that kind of negativity in your life.

Without further ado, here are seven festive styling tips to help you put together the best outfits this holiday season.

1. Statement Pieces

Before we start, it is important to remember that with any season, statement pieces are essential.

Start by analyzing your entire wardrobe while keeping in mind that you will need to stay warm.

Do you have a fashion-forward coat that you will feel comfortable adding to your outfits? Or boots that match so many items that there is a chance you will never take them off? Or even a statement scarf that pairs well with festive outfits but will protect you from the cold as well?

You will be attending lots of events this holiday season, so our tip is to focus on bold, style-driven pieces first. Then, build your look around that eye-catching item!

2. Style Your Favorite Seasonal Colors

Now is the best time of the year to accessorize with your favorite jewel tones! The spirit of the season comes from the gorgeous colors of the holidays, so why not embrace that in your outfit?

This is your chance to rock your beloved green leggings. Or ditch the denim and style some red pants or a gold skirt.

If you are having trouble wrapping your head around the idea, Pinterest is a great source for inspiration and tips on how to style holiday outfits.

3. Indulge In Bold Accessories

There is no better time than now to bring out your most sparkly accessories. You simply cannot go wrong with all the baubles! Sparkle, sequins, and glitter are very appropriate.

Why not add on those glimmering pieces of jewelry you have been shying away from all year?

Our tip here is also to stay true to the holidays, so style your look with more emerald or red hues. You are not limited in any way to these colors, but it does help in staying festive.

4. Stay Snug

Comfort is key and this is true in all seasons. Even in your most fashionable moments, staying both stylish and comfortable is important.

You will need this balance in your outfits to ensure you feel glamorous all night long.

While you have all these holiday soirees to dress up for, you still want to dress in a way that allows you to enjoy these gatherings without worrying about the cold or how painful your heels are.

5. Go All Out

If you are hesitant about a bold red lip or a colorful smoky eye, my holiday style tip is: don’t be!

I have said it a thousand times, but I can’t overstate it; this is the perfect time of year to be as bold and glamorous as you want.

So if you feel like going shopping in your favorite ugly sweater and some thigh high boots, go for it!

This is a fun and festive time, and it is important to stay true to what makes you happy.

6. Layer Up

I’m going to save all my “keep it simple” anecdotes for spring. The air feels crisper, the snow is falling, and I know that in order to stay warm, you will have to layer up.

Experimenting with fun scarves or different textured coats can be a great way to amplify your outfit.

Faux fur, leather, and even velvet are great textures and materials that won’t just look great with your outfit, but you’ll feel great wearing them too.

7. If In Doubt, There is an Easy Way Out

This is the most basic style tip fo every event, but it is just as effective for the holidays: if all else fails, reach for your LBD.

Little black dresses are an integral part of every wardrobe because they are both flattering and extremely adaptable.

If you style it up with the right accessories and invest a little more time into your makeup, this might just be your most chic look of the season.

So whether you find the perfect statement coat or a bold necklace, a little black dress can go a long way when you add your own festive touch.
