While statement-making jewelry can be fun, some days a gal just wants to rock something a little more understated. That’s why we love all the minimalist jewelry in stores right now— you know, the delicate, low-key pieces you can wear every day.

But of course, minimal doesn’t have to be boring or basic. We’ve scoped out 4 minimalist jewelry trends, and rounded up all our favorite pieces. If you’re looking to up your jewelry game this season, read on:

1. Front-Facing Hoops

Minimalist jewelry trends: Front facing hoops

Product Info: Yellow Gold – Joe Fresh, Crystal-Accented – Rebecca Minkoff, Silver – Charming Charlie, Rose Gold (on model) – Free People

Hoop earrings in general have been trending recently, but these front-facing versions offer a modern, fashion-forward take on the jewelry box staple.

Front facing hoops have an open, circular design and are worn just like stud earrings. Look for a pair in your favorite metal, or choose one with crystal accenting for a little added sparkle. These not-so-basic earrings are going to be your new favorites.

2. Personalized

Minimalist jewelry trends: Personalized jewelry with your initials or name

Product Info: Sideways Initial Necklace – Anthropologie, Initial Bar Necklace – BaubleBar, Monogram Bracelet – MackenzieTreasury via Etsy, Initial Studs – Madewell, Signet Ring – Ross Simons

Personalized jewelry has come a long way since Carrie rocked that nameplate necklace in SATC. These days, it’s all about initials and monograms.

Our picks above are understated yet chic, and totally customizable. You can’t go wrong with a classic signet ring, but if you’re looking for something more contemporary, we suggest the sideways pendant or initial studs. So cute!

3. Delicate Pinky Rings

Minimalist jewelry trends: Delicate pinky rings

Product Info: Tri-Color Hammered Rings – GlassPalaceArts via Etsy, Set of 10 Midi Rings- World Market, Crossover Ring- ASOS, Pearl Ring- GEHATI via Etsy

Don’t worry if pinky rings usually give you Dr. Evil vibes … our picks are delicate, stylish and totally signature-worthy.

The hardest part? Finding a small enough ring! A few tips: If you have super-petite digits, try out midi rings—they might just be the perfect fit. Etsy is also an awesome place to look, as many vendors offer custom sizing (including half and quarter sizes).

4. Celestial

Minimalist jewelry trends: Celestial jewelry

Product Info: Crescent Moon Necklace – Nordstrom Rack, Constellation Cuff – Aerie, Starry Choker – Accessorize, Celestial Crawlers – Nordstrom, Moon & Star Ring – Alex and Ani

Our final trend is all about gleaning inspiration from those heavenly bodies up above, a.k.a. the moon and stars. Celestial jewelry can be big and bold, but our picks are minimal yet attention-grabbing, and perfect for everyday wear.

You can go with cute, straightforward pieces, like the ring and necklaces above, or choose something more abstract, such as the crawlers. We’re also loving this cuff bracelet; its design mimics a constellation.

Your thoughts?

Which jewelry trend is your favorite? Do you prefer delicate jewelry or bolder pieces? Do you have a signature ring or necklace? We’d love to chat, so leave a comment down below.
