Even without a telltale logo, there is no mistaking a pair of Yeezys. Kanye West – now known as Ye – is an artist in every sense of the word, from making music to fashion designing. His collection of Yeezy sneakers for Adidas has been groundbreaking and highly sought-after ever since the first pair of shoes was released in 2015.

Ye’s innovative Yeezy shoe designs are totally unique, blending futuristic elements with retro components to create sneakers that are instantly recognizable and ultra-cool. They make a statement regardless of the clothing you’re wearing with them!

Just about every celeb, pro-athlete, supermodel, musician, and influencer has been spotted in Yeezys, and the sneakers have become somewhat of a status symbol – in part because of how hard it can be to get your hands on a pair.

Each time a new Yeezy shoe drops, a drawing takes place, allowing only a certain number of shoppers to make a purchase. Unless you win a drawing or know someone who can hook you up with a pair, you’ll likely have no choice but to buy your Yeezys above retail price from a resale site. But that’s a whole different story!

If you are lucky enough to own a pair, you may be looking for new ways to wear and style your Yeezys. That’s why I’m showing you what to wear with Yeezys and have come up with outfit ideas for every type of Yeezy shoe to inspire you the next time you’re gearing to lace yours up (or slip them on).

And even if you don’t own a pair of Yeezys, you can still take inspiration from these cool, casual looks with other kinds of sneakers or slides – so read on!

What to Wear with Yeezys

Yeezy Boost 700

Starting off with one of my personal favorite Yeezy sneakers, the Yeezy Boost 700s have chunky soles with a sleek upper for the perfect proportion. Because these kicks aren’t too “out there,” they are very versatile and can easily be worn in place of regular sneakers.

Take your Hot Girl Walk outfit up a notch with some 700s, black bike shorts, a sporty tank top (with a built-in bra!), and a belt bag. Lululemon’s belt bag (a HGW staple) can be worn crossbody-style for added convenience.

Don’t forget a fun trucker hat to keep you shaded from the sun, plus your earbuds and sunnies.

Yeezy Boost 700 “Wave Runner”

Known simply as the “Wave Runners,” this color combination on the Yeezy 700 Boost is super popular, especially since Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing these on numerous occasions. With a color palette featuring black, teal, gray, and orange, these sneakers add a pop of color to your outfit while still leaning neutral.

While you can totally wear these sneakers with leggings and sweats, you can also dress them up a bit with denim and a cute top. These ripped dad jeans have a loose fit, high rise, and ankle-grazing hem that works well with the Wave Runners.

Match your top to your sneakers with this orange knit corset top that plays on the bit of orange on the sneakers – plus, corset tops are a major trend this season.

Add to the outfit’s trend appeal with an angel numbers pendant necklace and Y2K-inspired wraparound sunglasses (this pair is similar to the Balenciaga sunnies Kim Kardashian recently wore to an Oscars after-party, at a fraction of the cost).

Yeezy 500

Here’s an example of what to wear with Yeezy’s if you want a more feminine vibe.

The rugged design of the Yeezy 500 sneakers, with mesh panels and retro soles, make this pair a standout. Their utilitarian vibe and tonal color offerings give these shoes a unique look that is unlike most other sneakers.

You can counterbalance the ruggedness of these sneakers with a feminine bodycon midi dress, like this beige ribbed dress for a look that is cute and comfy, and perfect for brunching or lunching with friends.

Add a bit of sparkle to the outfit with some gold hoop earrings and a gold pendant necklace, along with trendy sunglasses that feature a gold design. Complete the ensemble with a black handbag or crossbody bag and you’re set to go.

Yeezy Slides

The sandals that launched a thousand dupes.

Often replicated but never duplicated, the Yeezy slides are both minimalistic and futuristic at the same time! They also happen to be one of the more affordable shoe offerings from Yeezy, making these more accessible than the sneakers.

Wear them how you would wear any other rubber slide sandals: with laid-back lounge looks and with beachwear. They’re a natural choice to pair with a bikini and a cute cover-up set, like this cotton shorts and shirt co-ord.

For a trendy, beachy vibe, wear layered beaded pearl necklaces, some retro aviator sunglasses, and a straw tote bag that is ideal for carrying all of your beach or pool day essentials.

Yeezy QNTM

The Yeezy QNTM sneakers are Ye’s take on a basketball shoe, with his signature futuristic design approach. These sneakers feature a two-tone upper and high-top design.

Since these sneakers have a sporty look thanks to their basketball-inspired roots, I’d suggest styling them with joggers, sweatpants, or leggings.

To keep your outfit looking on-trend, play on the loose-fit of your joggers by wearing them with a more fitted cropped tank top and a trendy bolero shrug. Accessorize with some cool sunglasses and a utilitarian crossbody bag for a stylish, atheleisure-inspired look.

Yeezy Foam Runner

I’m not going to lie – when I first saw the Yeezy Foam Runners, I was a bit confused. I had never seen a shoe that looked like these! With their futuristic, aerodynamic design, the Foam Runners are certainly one-of-a-kind and unmistakably Yeezy.

Almost like a streetwear version of Crocs, the Yeezy Foam Runners are lightweight since they’re made of foam and have openings throughout to allow for airflow. Therefore, these shoes are best for wearing to the beach or pool (since they can get wet), running errands, after a workout, or while lounging around.

For a summery look that you could wear to the beach or on vacation, pair your Foam Runners with a beige terry cloth shirt and shorts set (this set also comes with a coordinating scrunchie and tote bag!). You can wear these pieces as a cover-up over your swimsuit, or with a cropped white tank top to hit the town.

Layered gold necklaces and some oversized gold metal aviator sunglasses make for the perfect accents to this summery ensemble.

Yeezy 450

Like the Foam Runners, the Yeezy 450s are one of the more unique designs in the Yeezy collection of shoes. They have a sock-like silhouette with a bold outer sole that envelopes the shoe for a funky, futuristic look.

I’d style these sneakers with some cream-colored drawstring shorts, a matching tank top, and an oversized flannel shirt left unbuttoned or tied around the waist for an effortless vibe.

Give the outfit some street style flair with large gold hoop earrings and some trendy rectangular sunglasses.

Yeezy 350 “Black Static”

We can’t talk about what to wear with Yeezy’s without mentioning the 350. The Yeezy 350 sneakers are arguably the most popular Yeezy sneaker model and come in the most color variations. Made from a knit material, these comfy kicks are the closest to your standard sneakers, making them ideal for your athletic and athleisure looks.

This season, onesies and sporty rompers are totally trending, so get in on the trend with this black biketard that makes it easy to get dressed. Wear an ash-colored cropped sweatshirt on top, or tie it around your waist. A pair of the Yeezy 350 sneakers in “Black Static” add to the trendy-meets-sporty vibe of this outfit. Don’t forget a cool pair of dark sunglasses to complete the look.

Yeezy 350 Zyon

As I mentioned, there are so many colorways for the Yeezy 350 sneakers including “Zyon,” a marbled black, white, and gray design that is neutral yet ultra-recognizable.

Play on the neutral shades with a tonal outfit that features a similar color palette. These stone-colored ribbed leggings are a stylish alternative to your standard black leggings, and look cool with an oversized band tee in a neutral shade.

This easy-going outfit is ideal for your off-duty days spent running errands or hanging out – just add a claw clip for your hair and some metal sunnies.
