Finals are over, school’s out, and the sun is shining bright! Summer break is here and that means it’s vacation time. You’ve got your summer getaways planned and now it’s time to think about the outfits.
In the past month, we’ve already shared a tips on creating a vacation capsule wardrobe and some outfit ideas for summer vacations. However, if you ask me, you can never have too many options when you’re planning for a trip. To help you even further, here are five more summer vacation outfit ideas to get you through your jet-set plans:
Outfit 1: Travel Day
Whether you’re traveling by car or plane, you want to be super comfortable on the way to your vacay, but you also want to be ready for selfies and random photo ops with your friends. This two piece set is the best of both worlds. Add a cropped denim jacket and a pair of chunky sneakers to make this outfit even more on-trend. Don’t forget to pack all of your favorite snacks in a super cute backpack for the finishing touch.
Outfit 2: Beach Fun
High waisted matching bikinis in neutral colors are a big trend this summer. Accessorize with layered gold necklaces and hoops, and a cute hat for the perfect beach photo. A pretty cover up will be perfect for relaxing poolside, and simple slides keep the look comfy.
Outfit 3: Day of Exploring
Rompers and jumpsuits are the best options for busy days. They are no fuss and they’re (by definition) only one piece — which means no stress about putting together a full outfit and less space that’s being taken up in your suitcase. They are especially good if you are going to be shopping and trying on clothes, as it’s only one piece to remove.
You can dress a romper up with heels or keep it cute and casual (like I did here) with sandals. Add a crossbody bag and statement sunnies and you are ready for a day of adventure.
Outfit 4: Poolside
Prints and bright colors are always in when it comes to swimwear. This cheetah print bikini is the fun and sassy vibe you want to add to your wardrobe. Tie a loose white button-up around the swimsuit as the perfect coverup. With the cat eye glasses, this look becomes so retro, and if you’re feeling bold add a red liquid lipstick.
Outfit 5: Cool Summer Nights
Summer nights can be chilly, especially near the water, so this outfit is perfect for a late dinner or girls night out. The pants and long-sleeved top give you coverage but are still thin enough to be wearable in the summertime. The high waisted flowy pants pair well with the cropped tie front top, showing a little skin and keeping you from losing your shape in all the fabric. Add some layered necklaces to accentuate the deep v neckline and a pair of heels for the perfect look for dinner by the water.
