Summer is all about embracing color. This summer, I have noticed that bold, bright shades are more popular than ever.
Like many of us, I get a lot of my fashion inspiration from Instagram influencers, and these hues in particular have been in heavy rotation on their feeds.
Here are some of the most popular color trends for summer 2021, complete with styling tips.

Color Trend #1: Tangerine
Orange is one of my new favorite colors and I’ve been incorporating it a lot in my summer wardrobe.
Our standout piece here is this sparkly, ruched, one-shoulder crop top. I paired it with some baggy boyfriend jeans that are high-waisted and distressed.
For shoes, I love the look of matching them with this tangerine, mini shoulder bag. Being matchy-matchy has been very trendy lately. These tangerine and teal sneakers are perfect for making this look more casual, too. You could easily swap them out for a sandal with a baby heel to dress it up if you prefer.
To finish it off, add some simple, layered gold necklaces.
Color Trend #2: Canary Yellow
Yellow is simply *the cutest* color trend for summer and the pastel hues look incredible on every skin tone.
I styled this matching cardigan and tank sweater set. It’s fuzzy and embroidered with little flowers. It’s the kind of set that is reminiscent of elementary school, but also, totally chic.
I added some flare cropped jeans in a light wash and yellow square-toe sandals. I finished off the outfit with this white shoulder bag to balance out all the yellow.
2021 Color Trend #3: Mixed Greens
Green is another color that I have been obsessed with lately. PSA: don’t be afraid to mix these colors together in an outfit! Green and tangerine orange would be a great combo.
This particular outfit features this super cute 70’s-inspired green knit tank. Crop tops are everywhere this summer (if you’re still on the fence, check out our guide on how to wear them). I paired it with some white high-waisted flares, a perfect staple pant option for summer.
I added these adorable green kitten-heel sandals, a mini shoulder bag, and some chunky gold hoops. All the various shades of green work well together.
Color Trend #4: Azure & Baby Blue
Bright blue hues are so on trend for summer 2021. This sparkly blue dress would look amazing with white, heeled sandals.
For accessories, keep it simple. A baby blue mini shoulder bag will compliment the dress. Beaded bracelets and mini silver hoop earrings are a must.
Color Trend #5: Flamingo Pink
The last color trend for summer should come as no surprise. Bright pink shades flatter every skin tone and are such a statement!
I paired this striped halter top with some high-waisted denim shorts. Think about wearing this look to brunch or for a day of shopping.
This baby pink purse will look darling with some pink sneakers. The only finishing touch you need is a trendy gold initial necklace.
