Part of the reason I love going to sporting events is the chance to wear cute outfits and show my school spirit! Like many students, I’ve built up a section in my closet devoted to “game day” clothes and I’ve decided to challenge myself to re-style these pieces for everyday wear.

This week, I challenge you to create new outfits in your school’s colors! You’ll get more wear out of pieces you already own and show some school spirt while you do it. Here are some ideas in my school’s signature red and black:

Monday

Products: Shirt – American Eagle, Skirt – Forever 21, Tights – Target, Booties – Forever 21

This casual look is perfect to start your week off on the right foot. I chose a cute school t-shirt, paired it with a black corduroy skirt and black booties with a low heel, and finished it off with some gray tights. This laid-back outfit works well for class and the shoes won’t kill your feet walking around campus. Win, win!

Tuesday

Products: Shirt – J.Crew Factory, Vest – J.Crew Factory, Leggings – Target, Boots – Target, Socks – American Eagle, Necklace – J.Crew Factory

For the second day of this challenge, I went with a comfy-chic look. I started with a red buffalo plaid flannel and some basic black leggings. I added a black puffer vest and some duck boots which make this outfit perfect for a particularly rainy or cold day. To finish it off, I added some lace trimmed socks and a sparkly necklace to dress it up a bit.

Wednesday

Products: Sweater – American Eagle, Scarf – Gameday Couture, Jeans – Old Navy, Ballet Flats – DSW, Bracelets – Charming Charlie

It’s not the weekend yet – you need another casual outfit for a full day of classes or meetings! I based this look around a bright red infinity scarf, pairing it with a black sweater and jeans to really make the red pop. To finish it off, I added nude ballet flats (how cute is the little bow on these?) and a stack of neutral bracelets.

Thursday

Products: Dress – Monday Dress, Backpack – Target, Boots – Target, Necklace – Monday Dress, Bracelets – Charming Charlie

I love a classic striped piece and the brown accents on this dress make me love it even more. I tied in the brown from the elbow patches with some brown riding boots. To accessorize, I added a bracelet stack with a little pop of red, a long gold necklace, and a super useful red backpack purse. I love the subtlety of the challenge in this outfit – it’s easier than you think to bring a little school spirit to any look.

Friday

Products: Top – J.Crew Factory, Bralette – Aerie, Jeans – American Eagle, Boots – Target, Bag – Charming Charlie

I went with a monochromatic color scheme for this outfit and I think it looks really chic. (Just pick the darker, or more neutral, of your school’s two colors and go from there.) I’m obsessed with the look of a halter bralette under a loose t-shirt, so I paired the combo with some dark-wash jeans and trendy over-the-knee boots. To tie it all together, I added a black shoulder bag and some black and white bracelets. This look would be perfect for hanging out with friends on a Friday night!

Saturday

Products: Dress – Asos, Earrings – Red Dress Boutique, Necklace – Red Dress Boutique, Booties – Target, Bag – Target

For Saturday, I chose this fun off-the-shoulder dress and paired it with brown and gold accessories. The brown and gold make the outfit feel less “game-day” and look more wintery. I think this would be perfect for shopping or hanging out around campus over the weekend!

Sunday

Products: Dress – Red Dress Boutique, Necklace – Charming Charlie, Tights – Target, Wedges – Target

We made it to the end of the week! Since it was the last day of the challenge, I cut myself some slack and went with a darker shade of red. I just couldn’t resist this maroon floral dress! I paired it with a long black necklace, semi-opaque black tights, and black wedges. This look is perfect for running errands on Sunday afternoon and getting your life together for another week. (You’ll definitely feel like your outfit is together, at least!)
