How to Wear Cherry Print This Summer

Don (and eat) this summer’s trendiest fruit.

Pineapples, watermelons, lemons… what do they all have in common? They were once the trendiest fruit patterns around. But — sorry guys — fashion has moved on, as it always does.

So the big question is: what fruit is THE trendiest now? The answer is: CHERRIES! Cherry prints have been a huge trend on and off the runway, and it’s safe to say cherries are the ‘it’ print for the summer and fall.

Here is some inspiration on how to wear the hottest print of summer 2018:

1. Cherry Print Top

Products: Top – Boohoo, Jeans – Abercrombie and Fitch, Shoes – Superga

Cherry prints often give off a cutesy, sweet vibe, but the dark navy blue color of this top tones the cuteness of the print down a notch and adds an edge to the outfit. The deep v-neck design also transforms the outfit into a more mature look.

Pair the top with some dark jeans for an extra edge. For this look, I chose a pair of mom jeans to create a look that is effortless yet stylish. A pair of simple white sneakers pulls the entire outfit together.

2. Cherry Print Bottoms

Products: Top – Forever 21, Bottoms – ASOS, Shoes – Vans

Who says you can’t wear a pair of bold bottoms with a bold top? For this outfit, the red in the cherry print is the star of the outfit. The red in both the top and shoes brings out the cherry print of the trousers, and the white of the trousers softens the loudness of the red, balancing out the entire outfit.

This outfit proves that cherry print is very versatile — it’s not just a girly pattern, and when paired with different items, it can create looks that are bold and fresh as well.

3. Cherry Print Dress

Products: Dress – Nasty Gal, Jacket – Topshop, Shoes – Converse

There are a ton of different dresses with cherry prints in store this summer, and it’s definitely one of the easiest ways to wear the print. For this look, pair your dress with some high tops and a denim jacket to keep the outfit casual and down-to-earth.

Alternative look:

Products: Dress – Nasty Gal, Heels – DSW, Necklace – Amanda Deer

If you’re a girly girl, swap the denim jacket and sneakers out for some heels and a necklace to pair with the dress. So pretty!

Bonus: Cherry Print Accessories

Products (from top to bottom, left to right): Shoes – J.Crew, Bandana – Urban Outfitters, Earrings – Small Things, Tote bag – Urban Outfitters, Swimsuit – Boohoo, Phone case – Urban Outfitters

Not ready to wear the print on your clothing yet? That’s okay – you can still rock cherry print accessories or swimwear! Start small with a phone case, and if you’re adventurous enough, try the earrings, one piece, or the shoes. They are great pieces that can add interest to your outfit.

There we have the different ways to wear cherry print this season!
