Fall is here, y’all.

Fall is beginning to show itself and I spotted Cassidy heading to class on a particularly chilly September day in a simple outfit.

Cassidy embraces her cute and effortless style by pairing a comfy sweater with distressed jeans. She topped the whole look off with a pair of America’s favorite lazy day sneakers, Converse.

West Virginia University student stands out in a long red unbuttoned cardigan with a simple grey tee, distressed high-waisted dark denim jeans, Converse sneakers, and a black choker.

Let’s Talk Fashion

Who or what inspires your style? “I get most of my outfit ideas from celebrity magazines or based off of what others are wearing.”

Where do you like to shop? “My favorite store is American Eagle.”

Why did you choose this particular outfit? “I chose to dress simple today because it is more comfortable. My favorite trend right now is high-waisted, ripped jeans with a crop top that is just a simple color and you have to add a choker, of course.”

What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “I would say focus on your body shape and know what defines you. Know what clothes work with your figure and focus on the trends that are becoming popular.”

Do you have any favorite fashion designers? If so, who? “I don’t have any favorite fashion designers because I have never really cared to look into the designer. If I feel like it is cute and fits my sense of style, I will wear it.”

What do you do for fun – do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I play the piano, and softball, and I also dance. I am currently trying to learn sign language, as well.”

If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why? “I would raid Kristen Bell’s closet. I feel like we have the same body shape and hair color, so everything would match with me. I have yet to see anything I don’t like that she wears.”

Elements of Cassidy’s Outfit

1. Long Cardigan

This bold red cardigan stands out against this student's grey tee and distressed denim jeans.

In my opinion, the most important fall clothing article is a nice cozy cardigan. Cassidy chose a red knit cardigan perfect for the upcoming season and added some color to her look.

2. Plain Tee

A cherry red long cardigan paired with high-waisted denim jeans and a light grey crew neck tee for fall.

Cassidy’s look is simple from head to toe, especially the heather grey tee she paired with the rest of her look. The plain color is subtle enough to enhance the cardigan without distracting from it.

3. Distressed Jeans

Long apple red cardigan with pockets contrasts against this West Virginia student's three-button denim jeans and basic grey t-shirt.

Cassidy and I share a love for distressed jeans! Hers are high-waisted perfection with three adorable buttons. There is no doubt in my mind she could style them with just about anything.

4. Choker

A simple black choker makes a big impact.

Everyone needs a good choker and Cassidy’s plain black one is the perfect element to top off her simple outfit.

What do you think?

Is Cassidy’s look the perfect fall outfit? Would you wear her cardigan? Are you on board with chokers? Let us know below in the comments!
