If you’re looking for a chic and versatile way to doll up your wardrobe this fall,  try a pussy bow blouse. These classic tops are experiencing a huge revival in the fashion world this season. Bloggers have been rocking them like crazy, and it’s tough to walk around a mall without seeing one! This dainty style is certain to make even the edgiest leather leggings look feminine.

Despite these blouses being girlie in every way, they’re also incredibly wearable. Throw one on with a skirt, tuck one into some shorts, or rock one with wide-leg jeans. The color and style options are endless, so you can easily find one that fits your personal vibe. For you girls constantly struggling to stay up with the trends in a professional work environment, the best part is that as long as it’s not sheer, a pussy bow blouse is 100% work-appropriate!

Try wide-leg jeans with a bow blouse for a sassy shopping outfit…

I am obsessed with these shirts! I stocked up with about 4 before the school year, and they are so comfortable, yet totally chic. I love the look with jeans but would love a follow up post showing these shirts with skirts!

I absolutely love these blouses! I’ve found many at thrift stores, so if you’d like to try the trend but don’t want to spend a lot of money, I’d definitely suggest looking there!

Haha, I didn’t know they were called “pussy bow” blouses! Hilarious!
All joking aside, I think these are cute. They remind me of Emma from Glee. πŸ™‚

Aaaah I have been looking EVERYWHERE online and in stores for something like this! I LOVE these!! They are such a cute, classic look. If anyone knows of where I can find a nice plain, white one, or at least a classic, simple-looking tie-neck blouse (sorry, for some reason I just can’t bring myself to call them a pussy bow blouse… haha!!) please let me know! Thanks for doing the post on these, great job!!

I love these shirts they are so cute and i love anything with a bow. my only fear is that im a pretty busty girl and i feel like they would accentuate it and be kinda over the top yanno? does anyone else feel that way?

FOR BIG CHESTED GIRLS who want to wear it, I’d suggest checking out photographs of Joan from Mad Men and photos of ladies from the fifties in general as both big chests and pussy bow tops were fashionable back then.

I’d suggest wearing it with a high waisted skirt- either pencil or structured, poofy skirts with a defined waist.

Seriously, how do you do this!
    Seriously great ideas everyday!
Seriously sad every girl in college or not who doesn’t ready this.

    Cheers, TC

I just bought one from H&M few days ago, and I also think it’d be perfect for either a school day or at a career fair.

A few months ago, I was searching EVERYWHERE for bow blouses like these and I was not having any luck until last month. I found the perfect ones at Kohl’s. They are from the brand Elle and come in two different colors, a purple shade and an olive shade in either long sleeve or sleeveless. I picked up both colors in the sleeveless style. They were cheap too! They were on sale for $24 and I had a 30% coupon as well so check out Kohl’s if you don’t want to spend a ton. I am still on the hunt for a white one, a black one, and a cute print one. I know old navy has a few but they have an elastic bottom, which I am not a fan of. If anyone knows any places that have these, please post!

I am so glad to hear they are making a comeback, I always wore these in the 1980’s to the office with shoulder pads and often teased my hair big with blue eye shadow and big earrings and high pointy toe heels and short skirts and I looked so much classier back then, today I look like trash….the Reagan Era 1980’s when you wore more the better you looked! where have we gone wrong? bring the 1980’s back with these nice blouses with the big neck ties and scarves!
