July 4th is less than a week away, so now is a great time to consider how to use your existing wardrobe for a festive red, white, and blue outfit.

Thankfully, you don’t have to wear the American flag to be festive (although we have that option, too). Whether you’re heading to a barbecue, lounging by the pool, or watching the fireworks with a cocktail, we have a themed outfit for you.

Below you’ll find three affordable red, white, and blue outfits for your Independence Day celebrations!

BBQ – $70.68

Red, white, and blue overalls summer outfit

Products: Top, Enamel Pins, Overalls, Sunglasses, Sneakers

Denim always screams “America,” and this outfit combines the current trends of overalls and enamel pins to create a perfect BBQ outfit. Wear a red and white tee underneath your overalls to follow the theme of the flag in a subtle way. Because you’ll be at a barbecue, this is the perfect time to accessorize with junk food pins. These mirrored blue aviators are flattering for most faces, but have enough style to be eye-catching. Finally, finish it off with some plain white sneakers.

Pool Party – $82.85

American flag bikini summer outfit

Products: Hat, Phone Case, Bikini Top, Bikini Bottoms, Earrings, Sandals

If you want to go all-out American flag, this outfit is perfect for you! This matching swim set will make your July 4th outfit a no-brainer, and you could even just buy half the swimsuit if you have a red, white, or blue colored half already on hand. (And if you’re struggling to find American flag swimsuits last minute, Old Navy and Target have multiple options in stores and online.)

Bring a simple hat and some sandals for when you’re out of the pool. To accessorize, the star earrings from this earring set are a nice tiny detail to add on. And if you’re looking for a statement phone case, this ice cream case is unique and fitting for July 4th and the rest of summer.

Drinks and Fireworks – $93.82

White and red night out drinks summer outfit

Products: Lipstick, Bag, Dress, Earrings, Heels

If you’re heading out to get drinks with friends and watch the fireworks, this outfit combines glamour with festivities. This simple white dress is an effortless pick for looking great. These earrings resemble a firework but can be worn with a variety of outfits. This simple clutch has enough sparkle to match the night. Add on a bold red lipstick (and maybe even some navy blue eyeliner) and these heels to finish your Independence Day outfit.

What do you think?

What are your Fourth of July plans? Which outfit above is your favorite? Leave your comments down below! This is my last article at College Fashion, and it’s been great to hear your feedback with each article.
