South Korea is emerging as one of the top tourist destinations in Asia for a good reason. The exciting cities, food scene, and plethora of historical sites makes for an unforgettable vacation. Cities like Seoul and Busan are known for being home to very fashionable and trendy young professionals and students, so fashion-lovers will be in very good company!

What to Wear in: Seoul

Seoul is the capital of South Korea and is the cultural heart of modern and ancient Korea where historical palaces meet modern skyscrapers. There are countless museums, temples, and street markets where you can people watch fashionable men and women all day long.

You’ll do a lot of walking in Seoul, so wrap up with a fun coat when you’re not sheltered in their state-of-the-art subway systems. A trendy outfit that is equally comfortable and fashionable will help you blend in with the locals while you trek around the largest city in South Korea. This outfit also works if you decide to hit the town for Seoul’s bustling nightlife after a long day of sightseeing.

What to Wear in: Busan

Busan is a coastal city loved for its easily accessible beaches, mountains, and temples. It is often compared to Seoul because of its large population, but is known for its much more laid-back vibe. Some of the most popular activities for visitors are hiking and eating fresh seafood.

Busan can get quite cold when walking near the water or at night, so dress a little bit warmer than you would in Seoul. A headband will keep your hair in place from the windy ocean air!

What to Wear in: Jeju Island

Jeju Island is located off the coast of South Korea and is a popular getaway destination due to it being a one hour flight from Seoul. In fact, the Seoul to Jeju flight is the world’s busiest flight route by far, so you’ll always be able to catch a flight from the capital if you decide to go on this quick getaway. The island itself is volcanic (90% of its surface is basalt), which makes for stark cliffs and beautiful beaches. It is also home to the highest mountain in South Korea.

Since Jeju is a very popular vacation and honeymoon spot, it is always “tourist” season and its proximity to Seoul means it’s filled with fashionable visitors. However, Jeju Island gets very cold and extremely windy, so bundle up in a teddy coat and cute sweater. Loose pants and cozy, fleece-lined rain booties will come in handy when you’re traipsing around the island for hours! Add some shiny earrings for an effortless look.
