Meghan Trainor released a new music video last week, and let me tell you: she’s come a long way since “All About That Bass.” The pastel hues are long gone, and the video for her new hit single “No” is shaking things up with dark, sultry looks.

The song itself has a late ’90s/early ’00s vibe, and Meghan has described it as “an anthem about girl power.” If you haven’t seen the video yet, check it out below:

Pretty catchy, right? Now scroll on down to see three outfits inspired by Meghan Trainor’s latest music video:

Look #1

Throughout the video, Meghan and her squad show off their best dance moves while rocking super-bold outfits that include everything from fishnet bodysuits to a metallic trench coat. And guess what? They look good.

This first look will make a bold and edgy statement during your next night out with the girls. This LBD will hug you in all the right places, plus the mesh neckline echoes that fishnet bodysuit in a more subtle way. Layer on a sleeveless blazer in a cool, army green hue, and stash your belongings in a metallic clutch.

Since your arms are on display, make sure to accessorize with a few mixed metal bangles. Create a silvery smokey eye, lace-up some chunky booties, and you’ll be ready to party all night with your BFFs.

Look #2

There’s something about wearing an all-black outfit that makes you feel ready to conquer the world, and these backup dancers look ready to do just that.

The next time you hit the gym, ditch the bold patterns and bright colors and instead rock head-to-toe black for a sleek, kickass look. Just like the first outfit, the sports bra and leggings pictured here have that trendy mesh paneling. Next, grab a zip-up hoodie (with thumb holes!), as well as these ultra-cool sneakers.

Last but not least, you’ll need a bag to carry your gear, and this graphic tote accurately describes how I feel whenever I work out.

Look #3

Though the music video features a predominately darker color palette, Meghan does rock a statement-making little red dress in several scenes. If you’ve ever worn a crimson-colored frock, you’ll know how powerful it can feel — especially when paired with a matching red lip!

The key to rocking a similar look is to find a red dress you feel comfortable and confident in, so I chose a few options. Though the three LRDs above feature different silhouettes, they all have one thing in common: longer sleeves, just like Meghan’s dress.

Strappy gold pumps amp up the glam, but you could also try neutral ones for a more toned-down look or jewel-toned shoes for a contrasting pop of color. Accessorize with a bunch of trendy midi rings, and don’t forget that classic red lip.

Your thoughts?

What do you think of Meghan’s new music video? Would you wear any of these looks? Which outfit is your favorite? Leave a comment below and tell us your thoughts.
