Coachella season has arrived! And with it, we have some unique and quirky trends coming back into style. One such trend is swimsuits worn as daywear or nightwear.

With bodysuits so popular, it’s only natural that one-piece swimsuits would join the game, too. If you think about it, it’s actually kind of a brilliant repurposing. If you have an adorable swimsuit, why not wear it for more than the beach?

This trend is unique and definitely not for everyone. However, it’s also daring and fun — so why not give it a shot? Whether you are going to the free spirited music festival or not, you can still rock this trend.

Keep reading for some ideas on how to style a one-piece swimsuit both for class and a night out.

Halter Swimsuit: Class

Products: Swimsuit – Hollister, Pants – H&M, Sweater – Mango, Belt – Fossil, Shoes – Nordstrom Rack, Scarf – Nordstrom

This lace up one-piece swimsuit from Hollister is perfect for when you’re ready to try the swimsuit as daywear trend. It looks a bit like a bodysuit, so it doesn’t scream swimwear, but you get to give the trend a shot.

Pairing it with some boyfriend jeans and a comfy oversized cardigan makes this swimsuit class-appropriate while still remaining fashion-forward! Just tie the front ties of the swimsuit up tight so it’s not crazy revealing.

Cacti printed accessories are everywhere lately. Give your outfit a Cali desert vibe with this adorable cacti printed neck scarf. This brown buckled belt from Fossil also has cacti detailing to go along with your theme.

Halter Swimsuit: Night Out

Products: Swimsuit – Hollister, Pants – Boohoo, Shoes – Shoptiques, Bag – Wilsons Leather, Lipstick – Selfridges, Highlight – Macy’s, Choker – Macy’s

This outfit gives off a seriously free spirited vibe. Switch out your light wash jeans for this distressed black pair to make your look more night-out ready.

A fringe shoulder bag is the perfect accessory choice to accentuate the cool boho vibe you’ll be giving off all night. Some chunky peep toe heels will totally transform a one-piece swimsuit into an awesome night out look.

Amp up the glam factor for this look by adding a red lip and some highlight for your cheekbones.

What do you think?

Do you like the swimsuit as daywear trend? What about as nightwear? Did you like the above style sets? Let me know!
