As March rolls in and we (hopefully) move toward spring weather, I find myself being drawn to one thing: dresses. It's time for bare legs, or at least cute tights, and fun frocks in bright colors. I'm particularly drawn to skater dresses this spring, which is no surprise; they've been huge for the past few seasons due to their versatility and extremely flattering silhouette.
Skater dresses come in all sorts of colors and prints, but since Saint Patrick's Day is right around the corner, I couldn't help but pick out some fun green skater dresses that would be perfect for the holiday! Even if you're not Irish, there's nothing better than going all out on this holiday. Plus, since spring is a time of rebirth, green is appropriate even after St. Paddy's day has passed.
Below, I'll show you how to style a green skater dress for class and for a night out. Scroll down to see both looks!
Green Skater Dress: Class
Start by pairing your green skater dress with colorful floral sneakers. A navy blue cardigan looks polished, but the polka-dot print keeps things fun. Delicate earrings and an elegant bracelet help pull your look together without being overwhelming.
For your classroom essentials, grab a tote bag with a fun graphic or quote, like the one I've featured here. Finally, add an extra pop of spring color with a pretty coral nail polish.
Green Skater Dress: Night Out
Whether you're celebrating St. Paddy's Day or just a normal night out, dress up your green frock with a delicate kimono-style cardigan. Wedge booties are adorable and give you height while still allowing you to dance or walk comfortably.
Tuck a large, studded clutch under your arm to hold all of your must-haves. Stack on a few bold, edgy bracelets, and pair them with sparkly earring jackets. Finish off your look with a swipe of a dark, matte lip color.
Are you ready for spring and all things new and green? Are you planning on celebrating St. Patrick's Day? What are your thoughts on the two looks above? Leave me a comment; I'd love to hear from you!
