Twice a year, Sephora offers a storewide (and sitewide) sale where you can save up to 20% off on your purchases, depending on your Beauty Insider Status. You do not want to miss this epic sale!
The sale has already started for Rouge status Beauty Insiders, and will run through April 11, 2023. Here’s how it works: Rouge members get 20% off from now through 4/11. VIBs get 15% off starting on Tuesday, 4/5, and Insiders get 10% off starting on Thursday, 4/7. If you’re shopping online, use the code SAVESPRING at checkout.
To become a Beauty Insider, all you have to do is sign up with your email on Sephora.com and you’ll instantly get access to the sale. As you continue to make purchases at Sephora using your Beauty Insider account, you will be able to accrue points and move up in Beauty Insider status, which will get you a higher discount.
This discount applies to almost everything at Sephora, with the exception of a couple of brands. This means that even big-ticket items like the Dyson Airwrap and T-3 curling iron are also on sale, making it the best time to splurge.

Tips for Shopping the Sephora Sale
Now before you start adding everything to your shopping cart (it’s tempting, I know), try to assess your beauty needs vs. wants.
Is your mascara drying up? Does your skincare routine need an upgrade? Think about what products you actually need (or need to re-stock), not just about the products you want.
Here are some more of my top tips for getting the most out of the Sephora sale:
- Make a game plan in advance. Products, especially popular or viral ones, often sell out quickly. Be prepared and know what colors, shades, etc. you’re looking for so that you don’t miss out on any items you really want. (See our makeup essentials list for ideas.)
- Buy gift sets for the biggest savings. Gift sets at Sephora often are worth a greater value than they are priced, and combined with the VIB discount, you’ll be saving money twice over.
- Think about any upcoming gifting you may have to do. Is your friend’s birthday coming up? Do you need to find your mom a Mother’s Day gift? The sale is a great time to grab any presents you’ll need to give soon; you may be able to swing a “nicer” gift that’s now in your price range thanks to the discount.
- If you’re planning on splurging on a big ticket item (like hair or skincare tools), try to wait until the sale to make your purchase!
- Don’t forget about fragrance. The sale is the perfect time to re-up on your signature scent, or find a new one. Perfumes are very personal (which is why I am not including them in this post), so I’d recommend going into a physical Sephora sale to try out different scents to find the one you like most.

As I mentioned, buying gift sets is a great strategy during the Sephora sale for two reasons: you’ll be saving extra money, and you get to try more products at one time.
