How to Dress Like Blake Lively… for Less!
We all know her as the ever stylish Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, but recently, Blake Lively has made her mark in the fashion world, with her elegant style and love for glamorous couture. After gracing the cover of Vogue at just 22 years old, the now 23-year-old Blake is the fresh new face of Chanel.
With her West Coast looks and East Coast style, the California-born actress and model is a fantastic source of fashion inspiration. Her style is a combination of bohemian chic and old Hollywood glam that cannot be missed on any red carpet. So for those of you who are dying to dress like her, below, I’ll show you how to get Blake Lively’s style… for less!
How to Get Blake Lively’s Style for Less!
As always, it’s easier than you think to emulate this celeb’s look without completely breaking your budget. Want proof? The following outfits are comprised of items that cost $100 dollars or less. And keep in mind that these ensembles are just suggestions – you can always use stuff you already own as well!
1. Denim Darling

Jacket, Shirt, Bag, Scarf, Jeans, Boots
Blake looks effortlessly cool here in a worn denim jacket, loose-fitting gray t-shirt, black leggings and ankle boots. This look is easy to put together, stylish and most of all comfortable. Whether you’re running errands, going to class, or grabbing lunch, this casual style is a great go-to for when you’re not in the mood for constricting clothing.
2. Boyfriend Blazer and Beyond

Blazer, Skirt, Clutch, Tank Top, Shoes, Necklace
Blake’s ensemble here would be perfect to emulate for a night on the town. I love her tweed skirt, but most of all I love the boyfriend blazer that reaches the hemline of her skirt for a super chic, laid-back aesthetic. She turned an outfit that could be considered “dull” into a trendy and fashionable look by just adding the 3/4 length sleeve jacket and a bohemian chain necklace.
3. Parisian Chic

Dress, Blazer, Fedora, Shoes, Ring, Bracelet
If you’re looking for a fresh and flirty look for summer, this is your outfit! I think Blake looks perfect here in her lace overlay nude frock and fedora. This look is very Parisian-chic (she was in Paris when she wore this outfit) and beautiful, but to spice things up a bit, instead of a the usual strappy sandals, opt for a pair of wingtips and cropped blazer for a new spin on classic style.
4. Blue & Beautiful

Sweater, Shirt, Pants, Flats, Clutch
As you can see here, Blake isn’t afraid of color and you shouldn’t be either! Here, Blake looks trendy, chic and fresh in her royal blue capri pants. However, my favorite part of her look is the stunning sequined blazer she rocked. I think sequins can be hard to pull off, but her blazer is sleek, in a great shade of gold, and is overall the perfect finishing touch on a great outfit.
5. Blazing Hot

Blazer, Dress, Necklace, Bracelet, Shoes, Bag
While in the winter I am all about black blazers to add elegance and class to tight dress, in the spring and summer I am in love with white and light-colored blazers. I think the light-colored blazer is such a fresh new play on ’80s style, while still being sophisticated and chic. Blake paired her nude-colored blazer with a simple LBD here, but I chose a navy blue dress for a nod to the nautical look, and accessorized with boho-chic jewelry and some gorgeous heels.

She by far is a fashionista I love her style chic stylish unique and put together
Annie
Definitely one of the most stylish stars out there. I think one of the major things she has going for her is that she’s tall and skinny! Certain outfits just look better on her frame. Anyway, her style is very inspiring! Great post!
Kim
Love it! Love that you don’t have to spend so much money in order to look good. Good job CF <3
Sarah
Love your interpretations!
jenn
uhmm, numbers #3 and #4 are from gossip girl, so i wouldnt necessarily say thats her OWN style.
lara
I agree with Jenn, don’t confuse someone’s style with their character’s!
Blair
I love blake’s style, but a lot of these pictures are from gossip girl, so it’s not looks that she put together…
Samantha
I love Blake Lively so good choice with the article! However I don’t think $80 a garment is realistic for a college girl……….
Ashley
I love her style and all, but please tell me how a dress that costs $79 or a sweater that costs $74 is “for less”?? I’m a broke college student, and from the style of your blog, thats the crowd that you sound like you are trying to attract, but every time I see something I like on your site, it’s way more than I could ever dream to afford. The items you post are way out of range for any college student that isn’t funded by their parents.

I think a lot of people mistake Blake Lively’s style with Serena Van Der Woodsen, unless Blake (does or doesn’t? i dont know) chooses outfits for Serena personally than, I think she get too much credit; for instance the last example was from Gossip Girls Season 4 episode 1. If you are going to call it “How to dress like Blake’s Lively” could you show outfits outside of Gossip Girl or else you might as well call it “How to dress like Serena Van Der Woodsen”
But besides that little technicality nice choices of outfits!

Love these looks you’ve created! Also, you’ve found really nice looks of hers. At times, she can be a bit too provocative, if you ask me, but these looks are very feminine, elegant, edgy and modern! Loved it!
Pam
I really like the outfit choices but as everyone else pointed out, many of these are from gossip girl..
Nat
We need a “how to have Blake’s body for nothing”
:P
Abhi
Very nice……
Amy
Please do a Leighton Meester how to dress post, I love her style choice.
They are so much different to Blake’s
Lola
The Parisian Chic dress isn’t a lace overlay. It was a two-piece couture dress with sequined caged topper over a lace mini dress. Research people. research.
Caitlin
I love numbers 1 and 3 the best! Such great outfits, and your recreations of them are really good. Thanks for the inspiration!
Sabrina
where are the earrings from in the first outfit?
Maxine
She is one of my fashion icons I look up to:) I love how she is daring and comfortable in her clothing choices.
Stacy
I’ve always though Blake’s personal style was a little too… coarse? Tacky? I don’t think she ever learned the chest or legs rule, bot both.

Blake is my fashion crush. I love her outfits both on and off the set of GG — and I love the fact that she doesn’t use a stylist for her real life outfits.
My favorite looks have to be Parisian Chic and the bold blue pants. I’ve been looking for a pair of cobalt blue pants to spice up my wardrobe! Thanks for the great ideas. :)

@Ashley–some of the items might be relatively expensive for a college student’s budget, but when you compare this site with other places that provide links for online shopping, I’ve found that CF does a really good job balancing quality and price. If you try for a price point that’s too low, you wind up with outfits that are made of entirely polyester, rayon, and other cheap fabrics that are ultimately worse for your budget because they deteriorate quickly, besides being less visually appealing.
That said, I have rarely purchased something from a CF link. Usually I take the inspiration they provide to the thrift store to shop at my price point or look for styles/colors/sizes that may work better for me than the ones provided in the post.
I hope this helps, and keep up the great work, CF!
