For more color-centric outfit ideas, be sure to check out our previous posts in this series.

Mint seems to be everywhere at the moment, but we’re definitely not complaining — we love this fresh and modern springtime hue! When it comes to what to wear with this trendy color, a surefire way to make a statement is by pairing a soft mint with a fiery shade of red. A pop of red really amps up the style factor of this pastel hue, and, in turn, mint green helps tone down a bold and in-your-face color.

Need some outfit ideas before you rock this color combo? Simply scroll on down to check out four stylish outfits featuring mint and red:

Outfit #1: Boho Glam

This stylish, yet laid-back ensemble would be perfect for a festival, picnic or a similar outdoor event. Start by pairing a printed mint-colored sundress with red ankle strap sandals. A fringed bag continues the boho vibe, while a bright crimson lip glams up the look. Gold statement earrings add the finishing touch.

Mint and red might just be the color combo I’ve been looking for! Maybe red pants and a mint shirt too!!!

I am the worst at trying to be fashionable, putting colors together scares me. That’s why I really love these kind of posts! I would never have thought about putting those two colors together, but they do look great! I almost always default to black because it’s so easy…

I agree with Kelly. I love all of the outfits, I’m just not a fant of the colors together. They kinda just remind me of washed out Christmas colors :/ the concept behind this is great though!

I would’ve thought these would come out too Christmas-y, but the red is so vibrant and warm, leaning slightly orange, that it works really well.

I’m not a huge fan of this particular post. Red and green seem kind of Christmas-y to me, and I don’t know about you, but the heart-printed mint shirt in the last outfit seemed kind of far-fetched for a regular girl. I know that it anything like it wouldn’t pop up in a bargain store, and in a boutique it wouldn’t be affordable to the average student. The outfit ideas are cute though, just not my slice of cake.

@Nina- The top is definitely one-of-a-kind, but only costs $25 at the online boutique listed – a budget-friendly price in my book! I understand what you mean though, and for that particular look, any mint-colored top (plain or printed) would create a similar look.

I can see why this combination isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and if anyone has other color combos you’d like to see me do a post on, please let me know. I love hearing readers’ suggestions!

My initial thought was “Ew red and mint?!” but then I saw the first outfit and I quickly changed to “Omg that looks amazing.” I really like the simple red sandals and lippy with the dress. Its just daring enough for my Plain Jane self.

I love outfit 3! I would love to try it if I had a bit more spare cash.

I don’t think this is a tough color combo at all. And i’m DYING for mint things right now. I love pairing mint and bright red at christmas time for a more modern play on a holiday outfit, but it’s great for non-holiday time too! A really vibrant red is great for any season.

Another note- I had never heard of Love Culture before this post, but I’ve been browsing their online shop for half an hour now and they’re dresses are gorgeous! And shockingly affordable, I need more stores like this in my life!

Thanks for the great post :)
