1 We don’t wear our current running shoes with jeans because it shortens their life. We wait until they have used up their life as running shoes and will then will wear them with jeans once we get a new pair (Most of the time they still look great but have to many miles on them). Why? because like Sara said you will not find anything more comfortable or better arch support as running shoes.

2. Even though nike makes running shoes 90% of them are not meant for running they are entirely made for FASHION. In fact you can get nike shox & air max 2009 in almost every color in the rainbow. (But this is an entirely different story for a another day). Nike knows what they are doing and actively markets them as fashion shoes – they do have a number of models that are meant for running.

I will continue to wear my retired running shoes & nike shox with jeans when I have a lot of walking to do.

The shoes that are specifically designed to enhance running performance should not be worn casually (aside from the fact that they really do look bad with daily attire) because they can actually ruin the shoes! The shoes are meant for performance, not casual affairs.

This [Rule 6] EXCLUDES sneakers that are meant for casual dress, such as Puma’s, Reebok, etc. These sneakers can give excellent support for feet and be much more comfortable than flats, heels, or anything in between, and are still so much better looking than running shoes.

Really, it makes me sad to see people wear them daily. My boyfriend does it; he spends so much money on each pair of running shoes and they only end up lasting a few months because they get worn down so much, what a waste.

Cute shoes might look better and be cheaper, but they can cause some pain and damage too. Flats=no arch support. Being an athlete, I intend to keep my feet happy. Therefore, if I’m doing a lot of walking and don’t need to be dressed up, I will continue to wear my running shoes and jeans.
