I’ll admit it – it took me a while to fall for overalls. The style, after all, is reminiscent of my elementary school days (days I am really not wanting to repeat style-wise).

However, I’ve recently started to see this look not just all over Instagram but all around campus! And now I’m a fan. The versatility of the ultimate top and bottom combo is incredibly easy to throw on, and requires no effort whatsoever.

There are a million different styles of overalls, so there is no reason people should be wary of this look! To help CF readers find their perfect fit, I’ve searched the web and found the cutest summer overalls for every personal style.

Style #1

Printed overalls from Target worn over a black long sleeve shirt

Lets be real – Target has been killing the budget style game for a while now! This floral take on the classical overall is an adorable nod to the ’90s.

Although the colors are a tad dark for the winter months, just pair it with a white cotton tee, and you’ve got a summer-ready look.

Style #2

Nasty Gal denim overalls

Who knew overalls could be edgy?

These ripped denim overalls would look on-trend paired with a graphic band tee and a pair of fashion sneakers, whether it be a pair of black slip-ons or the Adidas Superstars. Wear these anywhere – especially to a summer concert or backyard BBQ!

Style #3

Floral overalls

This look is one of my favorite overall styles. The floral pattern on these overalls is so bright and summery, and the fabric is breathable. Love, love, love.

For hotter days, ditch the denim and go for a flowy, linen-based fabric; you’ll stay a lot cooler while still looking fashionable and put-together.

Style #4

Urban Outfitters skirt with suspenders in olive

I adore this quirky take on the overallthe skirt(erall)? The cut and color of the skirt feels utilitarian, so pair this piece with something feminine and soft (like the off-the-shoulder top the model wears).

I mean, why wear a regular skirt when you can wear one with suspenders?

Style #5

Skinny jean overalls in light wash

And finally, an ode to the classic overall. This style from Lulu’s pays tribute to that pair you may have had in the fifth grade; but in an updated, adult-ing kind of way.

Pair these overalls with lace-up sandals and a white tee, and you’re ready to go. Killer sunnies only add to the toughness of the look!
