It’s still July but fashion blogs and magazines are already abuzz about what may be fall’s hottest footwear trend: the flat oxford. If you guys remember, high heeled oxfords were HUGE a few seasons ago after Luella so famously sent them down the runway in 2007. In contrast to the chunky-heeled, neutral colored oxfords of ’07, this season’s oxfords (also called brogues) have flat soles and come in many colors: classic black and white, brights, and metallics.

Personally, I think oxfords are cute but I’m not sure they fit with my personal style. I think they would work better for those with a more androgynous look. (Think Agyness Deyn and the like.) What do you think?
