The laid-back and casual loafer has now been elevated. Fashionistas around the globe are slipping on this shoe, which consists of a classic style with some added height. You may be having flashbacks to the terribly clunky loafer styles with thick heels that your teachers throughout the ’90s wore to class, but behold: these ones are stylish.
The loafer pump may have a skinny or stacked heel, but it features all the other characteristics of loafers: a pronounced tongue, no laces, and exposed ankles. Because the loafer has been around for eons, this updated classic looks best with dresses and skirts. However, we imagine some of you more daring types could jazz this one up with boyfriend jeans and a slouchy sweater.

I love the preppy chic vibe these have! I remember I had a teacher who used to wear these and they were so cute!
Im not sure I like these super pointy and high style of the lofer. I own a pair of lofers from Payless that have a stacked 2in heel and rounded toe. They look better then these and are great to be in all day for work.
I could see my grandma getting really into these, maybe with a strong shoulder pad and 80s skirted-power suit.
In other words, not a fan.
The ModCloth ones aren’t so bad, I think a thinner heel makes them look a lot less matronly, but not MUCH less.
I would totally rock these!! Especially the Modcloth ones. So preppy-chic. 😀
