Shearling is one hot look for fall. This cozy-comfortable fabric will keep you warm and toasty in the winter months, all while looking ultra-trendy.

If you are a lover of UGGs, you have already incorporated this trend into your closet. But this chic trend spans far beyond UGGs and, this season, was mostly seen on aviator jackets, paired with leather/faux leather, or on high-heeled booties.

Shearling can easily be worn with a skinny jeans-and-boots combination or a fun party dress (like Alexa Chung, pictured above). But whatever way you choose wear the look, shearling details will make you look cutting-edge.

Here at CF, we don't specifically endorse animal products (although we do sometimes feature leather goods) and in this case, there are so many gorgeous faux shearling options available that there's no reason to spring for the real thing. From boots with faux shearling detailing to coats trimmed in it, these pieces tend to be budget-friendly AND cute.
