Would You Wear.. a Trumpet Skirt?

Hemlines have been experiencing some serious ups and downs over the past two seasons. As we all know by now, maxi skirts are as hot as ever, but high-low hems and midi-lengths are a close second and third. The latest style in hems is the ultra-dainty trumpet hem which is on track to be as big of a trend as any of the former.

What is a trumpet hem, you ask? Also known as a fluted hem or even a "drop-peplum," a trumpet hemline is essentially a peplum flare that begins at the top of your thighs, as opposed to your waist or hips. This flirtatious style adds a feminine vibe to a skirt or dress. We see this look being perfect paired with a blazer and tights for a casual workplace or worn bare legged for a fun night out.
