After this deplorable winter, the last thing you're probably interested in is talking about is cold-weather clothes. But one of the keys to sticking to a college-girl budget is buying items at the end of the season (on a dime!) for next year's chilly weather.

One of Fall 2014's biggest trends started emerging this past season and was found throughout recent F/W 2014 runway shows. (Faux) fur-trimmed accents are going to be huge in the fall, and you can quote us on that.

We all have seen or have (faux) fur-lined coats and outerwear. But the change this upcoming season is the placement of fur. Fur hemlines on skirts, patches of fur on dresses, fur tanks, and fur sleeves are going to be all the rage. It does seem a little unusual, but we foresee this trend being incredibly wearable. That Topshop skirt below? Pure cuteness when paired with chunky boots and tights.

Three faux fur options we're loving: Top - ASOS, Skirt - Topshop, Varsity Jacket - JCPenney
