The scene is your closet, 7:45pm, and your friend just insisted you are going out in thirty minutes. Yup, that means it’s time to panic.

As we all know, the trickiest part of coming up with a night-out look is creating one from one with what you already have in your closet. Whether you’re going to a happy hour, dinner with friends, a house party, or a club, we have you covered with going out looks on the cheap. Each outfit is under $100, made from items you probably already own.

Karaoke Night – $62.33

Karaoke night outfit: Black jeans, mixed metallic accessories, sequin top

Top – Forever 21, Jeans – Forever 21, Heels – Alloy, Clutch – Charlotte Russe, Earrings – Aeropostale, Bracelet – Tilly’s

For karaoke night, you need some shimmer to add to your performance!  Even if you don’t plan on picking up the mic (no one plans on it), an outfit that will stand out is key. We love mixing metals, so we suggest going all out with a silver sequin tee, gold-tipped black pumps (but any basic black pump will do), and a mix of your favorite metallic accessories. Finish the look with basic dark skinnies.

Sushi Date with Friends – $98.27

Outfit for a sushi date with friends: Oversized sweater, lace shorts, black tank, tights, black heels

Product Information: Tank – Target, Shorts – Kohl’s, Sweater – BooHoo, Shoes – Forever 21, Tights – Miss Guided

A chunky sweater is not the first thing people grab when they think of going out, but when paired with lace shorts and pumps, the look can be quite cute.  We love these tights with added detail, too!

Night on the Town – $99.28

Outfit for a night on the town: Leopard tank, leather skirt, blazer, nail polish, black pumps

Product Information: Top – Forever 21, Blazer – Mango, Skirt – PacSun, Shoes – Tilly’s, Nail Polish – Essie

If you are headed out to a few different places for the night, go for a printed top and a blazer. If you have a trendy skirt, like the leather-trimmed one above, wear it (and add tights and a coat if it’s chilly!). You could also sub your favorite jeans here. Finally, we love a pretty color for your fingernails, like this cool blue-green shade by Essie.

Catching Some Live Music – $97.09

Outfit for seeing live music: High-low skirt, red wedges, crop top tank, distressed jacket, statement necklace

Product Information: Top – Miss Selfridge, Jacket – Forever 21, Skirt – ASOS, Shoes – Amazon, Necklace – H&M

If you’re headed to a show at a cafe or small venue (we’re assuming no mosh pits with this outfit), look trendy by rocking a hi-low hem and wedges with a pop of color. To keep warm on a chilly night, throw a distressed denim jacket over the top.

We want to know what you think!

Which look above is your favorite? How do you translate your everyday pieces into going out staples? How do you keep your going out looks under $100? Leave us a comment below and let us know.
