Alice + Olivia Fall 2014 RTW | ELLE

Alice + Olivia’s Fall 2014 RTW collection is chic. Seriously. When I first laid my eyes on it, all I could think of was how this is the perfect collection to wear during the holidays. In fact, these looks would give all of my family members and friends major wardrobe envy!

There is something almost-fairy tale like about these trendy ensembles. There are glimmering fabrics juxtaposed with jeans, intricate embroidery and chokers, fur, prints, lace - it’s a fashion free-for-all, but all of the looks work so well. These are outfits that should definitely inspire your wardrobe this holiday season!

Are you falling in love with this collection but aren’t so willing to pay the price? Read on for three budget-friendly outfits inspired by A+O’s fall looks:

1. Red Lip Love

This color combo is sophisticated and sultry. We love the timelessness of a red lip with an all-black outfit; this look also has a kick-butt red bag for an additional pop of color. Though it can seem a bit too dark for the holiday season, we think the matching separates make for a fun and trendy seasonal ensemble.

Start with black matching separates with some sort of texture or print; here, we went a little out of the box and chose one piece that actually looks like two! Slip on sheer tights with a bit of glimmer, as well as over-the-knee pointed-toe boots. Accessorize with a chic red crossbody bag and a fab choker. Finish this getup with black nail polish and a classic red lip.

2. Feathers and Lace

There is a lot going on in this outfit... we don’t know where to look first! The feathered skirt is fun and playful, the lace top is a little sexy, and the longline blazer adds a bit of sophistication. The styling is on point, too - just look at that hair! This look would be perfect for a night out with the girls.

To recreate this ensemble choose a lace top (you can wear a bandeau or bralette underneath for more coverage!) to pair with a fab feathered skirt. Grab a long blazer to keep you warm, then slip on these versatile pointed-toe ankle booties. To get the model’s gorgeous hair, use a wide-barrel curling iron and a lot of teasing and hairspray! Complete the look with dark eyeliner, glittery nail polish, and pink blush.

3. Glimmer in Gold

This look is 100% the most fabulous one from Alice + Olivia’s fall collection. We love the gold glitter skirt, the knitted turtleneck top, and the gorgeous textured coat. There’s something a little Old Hollywood here, but the silhouette and fabric choices are more modern. It’ll be a getup that will still be talked about at the next family get-together!

To get this look, pick a midi-length gold sequined skirt. Next, tuck a black turtleneck knit sweater into the skirt before resting a (faux!) fur coat on your shoulders. Choose a pointed-toe pump with an ankle strap and swipe on nude lipstick with a bit of a glimmer. For even more bling, pick a pair of gold-and-black earrings.
