Rebecca Taylor Spring 2013 RTW | ELLE
Summer is just on the horizon, and the relaxed feel of the season was on full display at designer Rebecca Taylor's spring 2013 runway show. Delicate chiffon prints, easygoing separates, and stark white looks spoke to the effortless vibe of summer, while pieces made from denim and leather added a fashion-forward flair.

1. Easygoing Glam
Pairing a printed chiffon dress with a denim moto vest creates a look that's just the right mix of girly and tough. Add a pair of embellished sandals and you'll have a breezy summertime outfit that packs a stylish punch.

For a similar look, start with a flowy blue-and-white printed shirtdress. Layer on a moto-style denim vest, which creates a tough contrast against the feminine frock. Accessorize with a pair of embellished sandals for a glam touch. Finish with spiked hoop earrings to complete the ensemble.
2. White Out
Rocking an all-white ensemble is definitely a fashion "do" in our book, and this runway look is a perfect example of the trend in action. We love how Taylor mixed up an all-white look by varying the textures, materials, and patterns -- this is the best way to keep a monochrome outfit from looking too one-note.

Recreate the runway look by pairing an eyelet skirt with a semi-sheer printed button-up blouse. A white faux leather jacket adds a trendy touch, while these strappy flat sandals are a fab choice for springtime. Accessorize with a pair of chic sculptural statement earrings. Lastly, swipe your nails with a metallic silver polish, just like the one the models wore on the catwalk.
3. Modern Monochrome
Who says you can't wear dark colors during the warmer months of the year? This final look we chose from Rebecca Taylor Spring '13 may be the complete opposite of the previous one, but it's equally as fashionable. The polka dot peplum top keeps things on-trend, while the thigh-high slit on the skirt is perfect for summer.

For our final outfit, pair a polka dot blouse with a black skirt. This ASOS skirt has a nearly identical length and side-slit to the one from Rebecca Taylor. Blue wedge sandals add a pop of color, while cat-eye sunglasses give this look a bit of a retro vibe. Gold and black drop earrings add the finishing touch.
