The newest park at Florida’s Walt Disney World resort is Disney’s Animal Kingdom, an animal-themed park that offers visitors the chance to adventure through the African savannas or spend the afternoon trekking across Asia. Popular attractions include the Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you can spot exotic animals, and Expedition Everest, a high-speed coaster that takes you through a mountain to find the larger-than-life Yeti.
Not sure how this connects to fashion? Read on and you’ll see! Continuing with our popular series on fashion inspired by the Walt Disney World parks, (in case you missed them, see our posts on the Magic Kingdom and Epcot) this week we’re bringing you outfit ideas inspired by theAnimal Kingdom.
Below, I’ve created several cute and wearable looks inspired by the park.Scroll down to view them all!
Feline Fierce
Dress, Booties, Bag, Belt, Earrings
Look absolutely purr-fect in this fabulous outfit inspired by – what else? – the felines you’ll see on the Kilimanjaro safaris. Slip on a bold animal print dress and a pair of lace-up ankle booties. Add a metallic belt, hot pink cross body bag, and a pair of stud earrings to finish off this fierce getup!
Pretty in the Jungle
Dress, Heels, Hat, Bag, Necklace, Belt
Whether you’re trekking through the rainforest or just through the concrete jungle, you’ll look absolutely stunning in this fresh and trendy outfit! Wear a leaf print peplum dress inspired by the jungle foliage, accessorized with a faux snakeskin belt. Next, add a contrasting pair of platform sandals. To add a bit of flair, put on a floppy sunhat to protect your head from the rays. To complete the look, wear a beaded statement necklace and a trendy cross-body bag.
Fearless Explorer
Top, Shorts, Sandals, Backpack, Belt, Bracelet
For those who are always up for a good adventure, this outfit will sure to keep you comfy but chic on your journeys! A chambray button-up top and a pair of khaki chino shorts are the perfect pieces for a classic look. Bright sandals, a woven belt, and a wrap-style bracelet help to add extra style. To store the essentials, add color, and keep your look current all at once, grab a trendy ikat print backpack before heading out on your next adventure.
What do you think?
Have you been to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park? Would you wear any of the looks above? Which one is your favorite? Would you like to see more posts like these in the future? Let me know in the comments!
Love this! The Animal Kingdom is my favorite WDW park and you nailed it with these looks. My favorite is outfit 2 (love that dress), but I also love the sandals from outfit 3! Great job 🙂
I love the outfits! It would be cooler if you made outfits that you could wear while visiting the park. Kilimanjaro Falls is my favorite ride but you definitely get soaked while going on it. It would be cool if you integrated a bathing suit in the last outfit and some waterproof shoes (like the new stuff Crocs is putting out).
Love the first outfit! That dress is super cute and I have booties exactly like that from Chinese Laundry that are probably my most comfortable pair! I am confident that I would be able to wear them all day at Disneyland!
Love, love, love! These pieces are amazing!
I am so happy you did a post on Animal Kingdom! It’s my favorite park ever and I feel you nailed the look! My favorite is #3 and I adore the dress in #2…one thing though, I would’ve loved if you had more than 3 outfits, like you did in the other park posts…part 2, anyone? Loved it, though.
As an avid Disney lover, I am thrilled to see you do a series on the parks. Love the outfits! That backpack is great too.
Thanks for sharing. I am not a fan of animal print but I love the other outfits.
Tina: It’s Kali River Rapids. Kilimanjaro is the safari.
Anyways I love this post…I worked at DAK on my college program so it’s near and dear to my heart. 🙂
I need a summer backpack! To my lunches for the beach and sun screen and stuff 🙂
