Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.

Spring has arrived, temperatures are warming up, and midi skirts are a perfect transitional piece for this time of year. This super trendy style was featured on many Spring 2014 runways, and creates an amazing silhouette for those who choose to wear it. There are so many ways to rock this trend!

Midi skirts can be worn throughout spring and summer, and come in a variety of shapes, colors, and fabrics. In this post, I’ll be showing you how to style an adorable bright pink midi skirt for both class and a night out:

Midi Skirt: Class

Product Information: Skirt, T-shirt, Cardigan, Flats, Necklace, Bag, Lip Balm

Style this cute, high-waisted tulle midi skirt for class by pairing it with a classic and comfy white t-shirt. Tucking the t-shirt in will really accentuate your waist. Throw on a bright aqua-colored cardigan to get you through the varying temperatures during this seasonal transition. The coral-like pink and bright aqua hues look gorgeous when paired together!

Bring in another pop of aqua with a pretty pendant necklace. Some d’orsay ankle strap flats complement this look perfectly, and are also fab for transitioning your look into spring. Finish the look with a classic saddle brown tote and a hint of natural color on your lips.

Midi Skirt: Night Out

Product Information: Skirt, Crop Top, Sandals, Bangle, Bag, Necklaces, Eyeliner, Mascara, Lip Gloss

I love the idea of pairing a demure midi skirt with a top that bares a little more. Wearing this flowing, high-waisted midi skirt with a long-line, wrap-front crop top allows you to show a little skin while staying appropriate. It almost gives the illusion of a spaghetti strap dress, and is reminiscent of many of the two-piece dresses that are becoming popular right now. In addition, the contrast of the blush-colored skirt and powder blue top creates a beautiful color-blocked look.

Add metallic accessories, like a pair of rose gold block-heeled sandals and a matching clutch, for a hint of sparkle. Accessorizing with dainty necklaces and a spring-like bangle lends even more glamour to the ensemble. Smoldering eyes created with a gold liner and black mascara are ideal for a night on the town, while a matte bubblegum pink lip finishes this gorgeous look off wonderfully.

  1. I’m echoing all the other short girls here (I top out at 5’1″) – can we get some tips on how to wear midi skirts?

Midi skirts just haven’t worked for me, so far. They always cut my legs off at an awkward length – making me appear disproportionate or shorter than I am.

  2. I love these outfits. The color combos are unexpected but perfect for spring. Could you do more outfits with this skirt? I have one like it but it is not midi and it is even brighter.
