Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Nicole Scherzinger, Rachel Zoe, and Kat Graham. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Nicole Scherzinger's Bold Mini Skirt
Nicole Scherzinger stepped out in a bold mini skirt while out to dinner in London. She balanced out her multi-colored Emilio Pucci skirt with a simple black turtleneck and black lace-up open-toe booties.
Turtlenecks have become a fashion staple this season, and can be dressed up or down. Nicole's dressier take on the turtleneck makes for a great holiday party look. It would also be perfect for a night out on the town.
Outfit Inspired by Nicole
Nicole's skirt is so unique that it's tough to find a replica, however any mini with a bold design, varying colors, and a eye-catching texture will help you emulate her look. This sequin mini skirt has a chevron print similar to Nicole's, and the sequins really make it pop. Plus, if there's ever a time to wear sequins, the holiday season is it!
Since the skirt makes such a statement, keep the top half of the look simple with a plain black turtleneck top. Complete the outfit with some black lace-up booties (these feature fringe) and a burgundy metallic tassel envelope clutch. The burgundy hue coordinates with the burgundy in the skirt, while the tassel speaks to the fringe on the booties.
Look 2: Rachel Zoe's Retro Chic
Celeb stylist Rachel Zoe was out to lunch with her family in a chic, retro-inspired look perfect for the winter season. She wore cream shearling-esque outerwear, which looked super warm and soft, over some dark colored flared pants. Rachel cinched her waist with a skinny black belt and accessorized with a pair of oversized sunglasses with a gold metal nose bridge.
This look makes for a fashionably playful alternative to your typical coat or jacket, and is dressy enough that it can be worn day or night.
Outfit Inspired by Rachel
Rachel is known for channeling the '60s and '70s when dressing herself and her celeb clients. This outfit features flared jeans, oversized shades, and a fuzzy vest, all of which give her look a retro flair.
While skinny jeans would work with this outfit too, flared jeans make quite a statement; wear them with heeled ankle booties to lengthen your legs and ensure that the flare doesn't scrunch up on the floor when you walk. Wearing this cream fuzzy knit sweater under this faux fur vest gives a similar overall look to Rachel's, but since these layers are heavy, it's helpful to cinch your waist with a thin black belt. For daytime, accessorize with oversized sunglasses with a gold metal nose bridge.
Look 3: Kat Graham's Sleek Slip Dress
Kat Graham attended a party wearing an eye-catching red silk slip dress with a white coat and two-tone pointy-toe pumps. The color scheme of Kat's ensemble is especially festive during the holiday season, but the sleek texture of her dress and her structured coat keep the outfit looking polished rather than cheesy.
To rock this look, you can't be afraid of color, especially as many of us tend to wear darker hues during the fall and winter. Take a cue from Kat and go bold!
Outfit Inspired by Kat
Re-create Kat's look with this red suedette fringe hem cami dress: its bold color and flirty design make it stand out in a crowd.
These pointy-toe pumps perfectly match the color of the dress, and feature a darker toe cap like Kat's, so that they aren't too matchy-matchy. Pumps give this outfit a dressy, sophisticated feel which is accentuated by a white or cream-colored structured coat. The light color of the coat is eye-catching, and the oversized yet structured shape contrasts well against the skimpier dress.
Complete the look with a black lace envelope clutch bag for a final dressy touch.
