Celebrity street style: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Alexa Chung

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Alexa Chung. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Jennifer Hudson's Pleats & Pops of Color

Jennifer Hudson glowed at a movie premiere this week, wearing a beige pleated skirt with a trendy neon yellow accent, a white shirt, blue platform heels and a blue stone necklace.

Jennifer's outfit is awesome because of the colors she has mixed together; the neon + neutrals trend has been all over the runways for the past few seasons and is a great look to try for spring.

I envision this look as a great option for going out with friends or to dinner. This neutral colored pleated skirt from Topshop makes for an excellent alternative to Jennifer's, and is made of PU leather, which lends a cool new texture to the look. Paired with this Forever 21 woven shoulder bag with neon accenting, you get the same unexpected color pop, plus the added chicness of the woven texture. Wear a loose fitting white tank top tucked casually into the skirt, and add a blue stone pendant necklace to bring out the blue of the platform heels.

Look 2: Jennifer Lawrence's Casual Day Look

"Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence was out and about recently in some dark colored skinny jeans, a loose fitting white top, a marled grandpa sweater, and structured orange bag, along with some flat brown lace-up boots. I was drawn to Jennifer's look because of its simplicity, yet thanks to distinct features like the boots, bag, and marled texture of her sweater, this simple looks does not look basic whatsoever.

Dark colored skinny jeans and a casual white top form the simple base of this look. Make these basics pop by adding a structured orange shoulder bag (a unique color choice), some vintage-inspired flat brown lace-up boots, and a cool sweater; this one has a grandpa shape and marled design like Jennifer's. This would be a great look for hanging out with friends or to wear to class.

Look 3: Alexa Chung's Dark Hued Dalliance

You guys are big fans of Alexa Chung's it-girl aesthetic, and she showed off her style during a fashion presentation this week in a wool pea coat with large buttons, a flippy skirt, a blue cable-knit sweater, sheer tights, and gray platform heels. Here, Alexa proves it is possible to wear a mini skirt even in the cold; warm fabrics like wool keep her toasty while still looking fashionable.

This inverted pleated skirt is a classic little piece that is super versatile; for this look, pair it with a cable-knit sweater (don't be afraid to mix black and blue!) and a pea coat with prominent buttons. Some gray lace-up wedge booties will break up the dark hues a bit and add a modern touch to this refined look.
