Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Dakota Johnson, Jessica Alba, and Jaime King. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Dakota Johnson's Casual-Cool Look
Dakota Johnson strolled the streets of NYC in a casual yet ultra-cool outfit featuring a dark color palate with unique textures and a pop of print. Dakota wore black skinny jeans with a gray sweater and a black moto-inspired jacket with fur lining.
She also accessorized with round sunglasses and eye-catching leopard print ankle boots. Her look is fairly laid-back, yet the details of her coat and booties make her ensemble appear trendy.
Outfit Inspired by Dakota
Dakota's look starts with the casual combo of black skinny jeans and a basic gray sweater. With accessories like round, oversized sunglasses, leopard print ankle boots, and a black moto-inspired coat with faux fur lining, the outfit really pops.
I'm all about incorporating splashes of color in outfits that are monotone or feature a lot of dark colors, and this structured neon crossbody bag does just that.
Look 2: Jessica Alba's Dressy Meets Edgy Ensemble
Jessica Alba looked trendy as usual while out to dinner in this ensemble. She gave a dressy black maxi skirt and lace-up heels and edgy twist by pairing them with a white t-shirt, a leather jacket, and a black-and-blue plaid shirt tied around her waist.
Jessica's outfit also makes for an easy day-to-night transitional look– for daytime, swap the skirt and heels for black skinny jeans and flats.
Outfit Inspired by Jessica
I'm a huge fan of maxi skirts because they can be worn a ton of different ways, and Jessica's trendy twist gives a black maxi skirt an edgy, unexpected look.
While faux suede lace-up pumps keep the outfit dressy, a faux leather moto jacket and casual blue-and-black plaid top (tied around your waist, of course) gives it a downtown vibe. Wear it with your own plain white tee, and carry a black satchel; this one features gold zippers that match the edgy vibe of this look.
Look 3: Jaime King's Chic Black & White Outfit
Actress Jaime King looked chic in a black-and-white getup while out in L.A. She wore a white babydoll dress with short, flouncy sleeves, black over-the-knee boots, and a white top-handle bag.
Jaime also carried a super-cool, statement-making fringed leather coat. Perhaps my favorite touch was her bright red lipstick, which provided a fun pop of color.
Outfit Inspired by Jaime
The classic color combo and unique hemlines make this ensemble a sleek night out look. This white, short-sleeved dress has a fit similar to Jaime's babydoll dress, and looks fresh when paired with a structured, white top-handle bag.
On a chilly spring day, you can wear black over-the-knee boots, but switch them out for sandals when the weather is warm. This faux leather moto jacket has a fringed hem, which looks super-trendy without going over-the-top. Don't forget some red lipstick for a pop of color!
