Outfits Under $100: What to Wear to an EDM/Pop Concert

Dance the night away in these stylish looks.

May 31, 2017 in Fashion Tips, Shopping by Emily - University of Georgia

Recently, I went to go see The Chainsmokers in concert, having scored floor tickets. (And despite the controversy surrounding them at the MTV VMAs last year, Andrew Taggart, one-half of the EDM duo, sang wonderfully live.)

At the concert, there were so many girls in cute outfits, which inspired me to create this post. While some adhered to the latest fashion trends, other girls were dressed more unconventionally.

Below is my take on three looks for an EDM-pop concert.

Look 1 – $61.79

Products: Romper – H&M, Shoes – Charlotte Russe, Earrings – Forever 21, Choker – Forever 21

The most popular clothing item at the concert was the romper. I was taken aback at how many girls were wearing them! Another shocker was that lots of them wore heels (and were able to jump all night long).

For this chic look, I put together a simple sheer black romper, lace-up heels, hoop earrings, and a couple of trendy chokers.

Look 2 – $58.52

Products: Top – Forever 21, Skirt – Target, Choker – Charlotte Russe, Shoes – Charlotte Russe

Two other fan favorites were lace-up tops and floral prints. I saw these pieces everywhere, and they were often combined.

For this look, I mixed both trends for a stylish ensemble that’s perfect for a concert or just dinner out. I paired the floral lace-up top with a button-front skirt, choker, and flats.

Look 3 – $94.74

Products: Top – PACSUN, Shorts – H&M, Shoes – Charlotte Russe, Choker – Forever 21, Rings – Forever 21

Open-shoulder tops were also popular at the concert. For this look, I styled a white lace open-shoulder top (from the Kendall and Kylie brand) with distressed denim shorts (another popular clothing item) and accessorized with a choker, rings, and peep-toe wedges.

What Do You Think?
