When we think finals week, the first thing that comes to mind is tests, right? But depending on your college experience, your finals week could include everything from writing a ten-page research paper to giving an important presentation to taking a three-hour exam. And of course, each situation can require a different style of dressing.
So, here are three easy outfit formulas for whatever your finals week may hold:
For the Library: Graphic Tank + Joggers + Cardigan + Sneakers
Comfort is the top priority with this look -- if you're going to be doing an all-day study or paper-writing sesh, you really don't need uncomfortable clothes distracting you.
The look starts with a fun graphic tank and trendy joggers (the chic alternative to pajamas). Bring along a cozy white cardigan in case you're in a chilly corner of the library, and for footwear, choose a pair of mint green sneakers, which can be easily slipped on and off as necessary. Accessorize with a couple of fun touches, like elephant earrings and a printed backpack.
For a Presentation: Dress + Blazer + Flats
If you have any big presentations in store for finals week (thesis defense, oral exams, project presentations, etc.), looking polished and put-together can only improve your audience's impression of you.
Need an easy but dressed-up option? Try a printed dress, bright blazer, and comfortable flats. This bold red blazer contrasts very nicely with the navy dress, giving off an air of confidence. Nude flats are the ideal neutral addition, and for an extra dose of polish, add a structured tote, a gold necklace, and a watch (to make sure you're running on time!).
For a Final Exam: Striped Tee + Jeggings + Denim Jacket + Sandals
For the big final exam, it's best to go back-to-basics with your favorite comfy staples.
Pair a loose-fitting striped tee with black jeggings and a denim jacket (in case you get cold in the testing room). Since you'll probably be in a time crunch beforehand (either because of studying until the last minute or snagging an extra bit of sleep), keep the accessories simple and easy to throw on: a pair of slip-on sandals, a yellow infinity scarf, and a fun canvas tote.
