Boyfriend jeans and sheer blouses are some of my favorite closet go-tos, and when paired together, they make one totally chic outfit. The casual, masculine feel of the boyfriend jeans is dressed up by the feminine, flirty blouse, and the resulting look is both comfy and stylish.
Also, this combo is great for the early fall months, when the weather is starting to cool. If you don’t have these pieces in your closet yet, you should really give them a try this season.
When wearing a sheer blouse, be mindful of what you are wearing underneath. If you want a more modest and clean look, go for a flesh-colored bra and/or cami. But if you want a bolder, trendier look, try a pretty bra in a contrasting color that will show through your shirt. It’s totally up to you!
Now, on to the outfits – here are three stylish ways to wear a sheer blouse and boyfriend jeans:
Casual Yet Polished
This outfit strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and polished, which makes it ideal for those lazy school days when you want to look nice without much effort. Grab a pair of dark wash boyfriend jeans and a flowy white blouse, then add a pair of colorful pointed-toe flats.
Bad hair day? Throw it up in a bun or top knot and slip on this pretty vintage-inspired headwrap. For the finishing touch, keep your jewelry simple with a pair of cute gold stud earrings.
Street Style Chic
If you’re always aiming for the chic and trendy looks you see on street style blogs, this adventurous ensemble is for you. Rock this outfit formula on a casual date night or an outing with friends. Pair a black sleeveless pussy bow blouse with distressed boyfriend jeans, then dress it up with strappy black heels. Finish the look with some sparkle from a metallic clutch and jeweled earrings.
This last outfit is easy and casual with a boho vibe, but it’s balanced out nicely with a couple of trendy touches. It would be perfect for class or an outdoor fall concert. All you need is a pair of slightly-fitted boyfriend jeans and a loose, flowy printed blouse.
Cutout ankle booties add some flair while staying practical and comfortable. Lastly, accessorize with a fringed faux leather bag and a gold pendant necklace.
