Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.
Now that it’s spring and the weather is warming up, I’m so excited for outdoor activities. One of my favorite ways to spend time outside is to go on a picnic. Gingham print makes me think of a quaint, classic picnic blanket. It looks especially cute on a skirt.
Want to rock this pretty print this spring? See how I styled a gingham print skirt for class and a night out.
Gingham Print Skirt: Class
For class, wear your skirt with a relaxed chambray shirt. This shirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe since it’s so versatile – if you don’t have one yet, you need to invest! Add a matching crossbody bag and simple sandals. Lastly, put on a dainty cherry necklace for a sweet, retro accent.
Gingham Print Skirt: Night Out
For a throwback look, wear a sweetheart neckline crop top and cat eye sunglasses that are reminiscent of the ’50s and ’60s. Red pumps will stand out against the black print of the skirt. Add a simple quilted clutch and leather jacket for some stylish edge. Red lipstick will finish off your look, and you’ll be ready for a fancy cocktail date or dinner party.
