This may be every Sex and the City fan’s dream collaboration: WWD recently announced that Sarah Jessica Parker will be teaming up with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus to create a fashion line.

The line, which is still in its early planning stages, will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom starting in spring 2014. The inaugural collection will include 35 to 40 pairs of shoes, as well as handbags and trench coats.

The shoes will be high quality and Italian-made, with a tentative price point between the low $200s and mid-$300s. SJP spoke to WWD about her line:

“I have to know that we’re producing shoes I’m going to wear. I’m not going to try and sell someone shoes that aren’t going to be good enough for me to wear myself. I want to produce something that I’m excited to order myself.”

Your thoughts?

What do you think of this collaboration? Are you a fan of SJP’s style? What do you think of her creating this line? Would you splurge on a pair of these shoes? As always, tell us what you think by leaving a comment below!

  2. I am so excited! It’s about time! I remember way back when she did a collab w/ Steve and Barry’s (now defunct) with super affordable clothes and shoes. I still have a pair of studded wedges I adore. And I think they were less than $10? I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!

  3. This is cool, but I could never swing paying that much for a single pair of shoes. Why can’t a celebrity have a line that they sell at Payless?
