While the urge to leave the house in sweatpants is tempting during winter, it's surprisingly easy to be warm, comfy, and stylish in jeans. A well-chosen denim pairing like Joey's will make you look put-together while keeping you warm throughout the day.

Let's Talk Fashion
How would you describe your sense of style? “I find my style to be either/or. By that I mean I either tend to [embrace] the lazy look or go for [a] more preppy vibe.”
When did you start getting into fashion? “I started to care about my fashion around the end of high school and ever since then I’ve been trying to find my own fit.”
What are your favorite trends right now? “I am very into the oversized fit trend. Baggy is better in my opinion.”
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why? “I would raid Luca Fersko’s closet. He dresses very well and has a great sense of style that is very versatile. I feel like I can relate to him.”
Why did you choose this outfit? “I dressed for the weather. Because it was cold, [an] oversized knit was my first go-to. It kept me warm and comfortable.”
What do you do for fun – do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I honestly enjoy eating good food. I am a big foodie. My favorites are chicken and Korean food.”
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Because everyone doesn’t think the same, I’d say 'you do you.' Find your own fit and be confident. That’s my best advice.”
Elements of Joey's Outfit
1. V-Neck Knit
A great winter sweater doesn't have to cost an entire paycheck. Although it's easy to step into Urban Outfitters and grab a sweater for over $50, spending the time to go thrifting can yield some serious steals. Joey found this sweater for less than $20 at a thrift store and has gotten plenty of use out of it already this season.
2. Stan Smiths
Joey's trendy sneakers are Adidas Stan Smiths. Their bright red detailing, a change from the typical Stan Smith green, draws your attention to them. Kudos to Joey for keeping the white so crisp and fresh in winter!
3. Cuffed Jeans
While it can be easy to just let your jeans hang loose at the end, cuffing them adds a more defined look to any outfit and automatically makes it look more put-together. Cuffing your jeans takes two seconds and makes such a difference!
